Chapter 34

Lisa's POV

Big heart shaped candy.

Chocolates.

Red roses.

Hidden love messages.

I threw everything that made me cringe in my basket. I was in the most romantic store anyone could ever come across in Seoul. Lately, I've been watching a lot of Korean drama. It was a good thing, since I understood that it was totally normal for a girl to approach a boy and make a confession. Now, confessing isn't something that I was a huge fan of. Every time I thought about it, the hair on my hands would rise. However, I thought of it in an optimistic manner. I bet thousands of girls had proposed Park Jimin to which of course he would reject them all. He may reject me as well but at least I would have my mind at peace.

If I don't do it now, I will forever be in regret. Especially, ever since I saw him half-naked in his room my feeling for him evolved twofold. Something about my lip stains on his palm gave me tons of butterflies. The sight of his heavenly body wouldn't come off my mind causing my cheek of turn red. This is it Lisa! I had his number which I traded with Jungkook for Rosè's.

Hey Jimin. Lisa here. Can I meet you outside your building for a moment?

Seconds felt like minutes after he finally messaged me.

Hi Lisa. I'll be down in a minute.

My heart pumped harder as I heard footsteps approaching me. The bag I was holding was enormous. I tried to hide it behind my petite body. Finally, I saw a boy in black cap, mask and hoodie walk towards me.

"Eyyy what's up?" he did some sort of bro handshake with me which I handled awkwardly.

"Hi" I waved at him shyly. Unlike my usual outfit, I wore on a short skirt with a crop top. My shoes were black leather sandals. Overall I looked like an anime character.

"Wanna head upstairs?" he asked.

"Umm no. Can I walk to the park instead?"  I asked.

"Yeah sure. You look very cute today?" he pinched my cheek making me turn red.

'Cute?' I blushed.

"You had to say something to me?" he asked as we reached a child's playground.

"Yeahh.." I sat on the swing and he did the same next to me.

Thank god, for the park was empty leaving me and Jimin to explore the entire playground. He took of his mask exposing is handsome face.

"This is for you." I handed him the bag.

"Woah!" he said in excitement at the sight of all the chocolates and candy just like a child.

"All for me?" he asked happily.

"Yes" I smiled content by his reaction.

"Thank you soo much. I won't share this with anyone. Especially the heart shaped choco....." he paused. He scanned at the content of the bag. It was all red with heart shaped logo. He pulled the red rose off the bag.

"Lisa.. Why are you giving me these?" he looked at me seriously.

"Jimin, the reason I call you here today is because I wanted to tell you that I like you" I watched as his expression changed from surprised to pity. "I've liked you ever since I first met you at the bar. After that day, I watched every BTS music and shows. My feeling grew for you more ever since then"

"I.. erm.. Thank you for enjoying our music and show" was all he managed to say.

"Then, I met you again on the day you returned from Japan. I decorated everything that was under your name, the balloons and banners. It was so much fun that day. I was so happy that I could at least do something for you. Jungkook is a good friend of mine and a good brother of yours. He told me a lot about your personality and traits. I grew very fond of you. Every good or bad quality of yours was very attractive to me. A few weeks ago, I met you in your room." I giggled as I recalled that memory "I didn't mean to enter on purpose but I found myself very glad that I did. I know I sound like a complete creep but I really like you a lot. I know you don't like me as much or not at all. But do you think you are willing to give us a chance?"

"Lisa-shi.. I really like you.. a lot"

"as a good friend. Our interactions were too short for me to get to know you. I don't know much about you. I know you are a really good person. That's one thing I can conclude from our short interactions. Yes, you seem to know a lot me but one thing not many people know about me is that I don't date. Sure, I flirt sometimes but dating is completely different. Commitments and devotion is something I can never see myself do. I'm sorry but I cannot accept your request. I hope we can still remain as good friends,"

A string of tear fell off my eyes. I smiled as I wiped it off. "Wow! It wasn't as bad as it seems. Thank you for rejecting me so politely. I'll try to remain friends but please excuse me if I can't handle the pain and avoid you."

"I can't accept these" he handed me back the bag.

"You can. As a friend" I smiled cheerfully at him.

I took a deep breath and got off the swing. "I'll get going then. Bye"

"Should I drop you off till your home?" he stood up helplessly.

"It's alright. I can walk myself there"

"I'm really sorry Lisa. I hope you can forgive me" he apologized.

"Mmm" I said with my back facing him. I walked with great pace until he was out of sight.

I shouldn't cry. It's not worth it. I can still remain good friends with him.

"How did it go?" Jennie messaged me

"Haha I got rejected. No big deal. These BTS boys sure do have a lot of ego" I said with my eyes filled with tears making my vision blurry.

"Babyy. It's okay. You can tell me"

"I'll tell you about it tomorrow when I meet you in person."

"You're coming to Australia?"

"I guess. Vacation period is over. Need to come back to do business"

I took out my suitcase. Rosè is going to be so heartbroken but she'll understand once I explain it to her. I pulled out my stack of clothes from her wardrobe accidentally knocking down her bag. Containers of medicines fell off her bag. I picked each one and was surprised to find so many. I googled each one to find it of a high strength and use.

What are these for, Chaeng? What are you hiding from us?
