Chapter 6: My Heart Has Always Been Yours

Jisoo's POV

Days and days have passed that Y/N and I didn't talk to each other. I don't know if I should feel happy that I could control my feelings now or I should be sad that our friendship is sinking.

"Jisoo? Do you need something?", I saw Ms. Bae asking me.

"Uhh... Nothing Ms. I'm just passing by.", I smiled at her.

"Do you want to talk to Y/N about something? I can excuse her if you'd want to.", she smiled back at me.

"N-no! I've got to go back to my class now Ms. Bae. Bye!", I ran away before Ms. Bae could call Y/N until I bumped to another person.

"I'm sorry!", I looked up and saw Seonchu who's glaring at me. "I-i've got to go Seonchu."

"You can't just run away from all your problems Jisoo.", he said behind my back.

"What do you mean?", I looked back at him.

"You'll know what I mean sooner.", he left as I slowly walked towards my classroom dumbfounded.

Y/N POV

The days without talking to Jisoo turned into a month already. I missed her but my ego, I don't want to ruin it.

"Y/N! You know, Jisoo was there outside awhile ago.", Ms. Bae winked at me. "I guess she's staring at you secretly. She's fighting with angel and devil on her left and right side wether she'll approach you."

Is that true? Was she stalking me without my prior knowledge? That can't be. It's not like we care for each other anyways. It's not like she cares for me anymore.

"Can you tell me what's going on between the two of you Y/N? Why aren't you going together anymore?", Ms. Bae added as sadness is revealing on her face. "Don't let a simple argument raise into a chaos. Don't let your ego hold you back."

Ms. Bae is right. I've got to talk to her before everything on us will be ruined. I take the courage and stood up before the bell for our dismissal will ring.

Jisoo's POV

I passed by Y/N's room again before I went home. Some of her classmates are still there while she's nowhere to be found. Maybe she's home by now. I'm not yet satisfied so I searched the whole school to find her until I gave up on searching for her.

"Jisoo? It seems like you're carrying a weight on your shoulder. What's up with you?", my mom approached me.

"Nothing. I'm just tired mom. I just want to sleep.", I let go of my mom and went to my room.

I can hug my pillow and my stuff toys for too long but it wouldn't be the same whenever you're by my side Y/N. Why is my heart worrying for you?

It's been a week since I haven't heard a news about Y/N. I haven't seen her face for a long time. Did she leave me?

"Excuse me Ms. Bae? Can I ask you something?", I bothered Ms. Bae in her office as she motioned for me to sit down.

"Yes Jisoo? What do you want to talk about?", she gladly accepted me.

"I haven't saw Y/N anymore. Is she still attending her class?", I asked Ms. Bae with a big gulp.

"I was about to ask you that too. I'm worried that she haven't came to my class for a whole week now. I thought you know about that and that you're going to ask me for a favor for her to catch up on my class.", Ms. Bae frowned for a moment. "Maybe Y/N is sick Jisoo? Can you go to her house afterwards please? Update me sooner."

"Sure Ms. Bae. Thanks.", I stood up and went outside with a heavy heart.

After our class, I went to Y/N's house directly but it seems like no one's there. Even if I knocked for so many times, no one bothered to answer me. Suddenly, I felt a heavy sadness inside my heart.

"Mom! Tell me! Where's Y/N and her aunt!", I cried as I opened our front door.

"Jisoo! What are you talking about?!", Mom ran towards me and hugged me. "Why are you crying? I thought you and Y/N are always together? Why are you asking about this to me?"

"Mom! Help me find Y/N!", I cried harder on my mom's chest. "I want to see Y/N so bad! I want to be with my friend again! I need her!"

"Okay okay. Keep calm Jisoo. Just go to your room and wash yourself.", my mom comforted me as I did what she told me.

This ain't enough. I've got to be the one to find her first. She didn't leave me right? She cannot leave me right away. I'll search for her.

"Excuse me Mr. Have you seen this girl?", the ice cream vendor on the shop examined the photo I gave him.

"I have seen her before but that was a month ago. She came here once only. I'm pretty sure of that. She's the one who dropped her ice cream on the floor.", he told me. "Wait, that was the time that you're also here with a young boy! She was staring at the two of you!"

She saw us? I was doomed that time then since I refused to go with her but I went with Seonchu instead. She saw us.

"Thank you.", I bowed on the shopkeeper.

I went to the park and asked some people, I looked in the bushes if she's hiding there, I searched for her but in the end I conceded.

"Jisoo! Where have you been?! Don't you go out without asking permission from me!", my mother scolded me as I ignored her by locking myself inside the room.

"Y/N, where are you now? I'm sorry for everything that I did to you!", I keep on beating my chest. "Come back to me now! I regret everything Y/N!"

I know you're not going to answer me. I know you're not gonna break down the walls that are surrounding me now. No wonder, my heart has always been yours.

I slept with tears flowing from my eyes. I slept without peace. I slept with my pillow wet. Until, I heard a knock on my door. The way ther person knocks, the tempo, the rhythm, the force, it's familiar. That knock made me stood up immediately just to open the door. I smiled at the latter.
