"[Y/N]! I'm coming in!" North said as he nudged the door before allowing himself into your room.

Your room was a mess, which was rare. You were a clean freak. Your blankets were thrown messily on the bed and your pillows were laying everywhere on the floor. Your desk was disorganized, stationary unkept, papers littered on your table and onto the floor. Your books where surprisingly kept neatly on a stack on your bedside table. Your curtains were rolled down, making your room pitch dark.

North studied your room's condition, concluding his observations. You were having one of those days again. He raced down the halls of the MOI.

Ever since you joined Project Freelancer, you were always given stress by the director. He thought that you could be more than you were, which was a good thing- but he forced progression on you hard. He never cared about your emotional status. He only cared about success. It made you develop anxiety and made you really upset. There was only one person you told your problems to, someone who was trustworthy and kind- North. He knows you more than you do, and it made you feel giddy when you were around him. He cared so much about you and he would risk his life to save yours. And he obviously knew where you were hiding.

You were sitting at the very end corner of the highest level of the MOI. You could see the sparkling stars through the window. No one really came here, which gave you a lot of privacy. It was a nice place to chill out or just to think. Usually you come here when your stressed, but I won't blame you. It's a private place with a great scenery. Not to mention, it's a corner. Just bring some pillows and you can camp there.

Your a failure.

You are a loser.

You don't deserve any of this.

You are a barrier to everything.

You are just an extra in the team.

You aren't important.

You were cut from your thoughts when a hand touched your cheek. You turned around, snapped from your negative environment to meet the light, North. He was your nature of happiness. It was like the darkness being picked up by the everlasting light. North was kneeling down on one knee, wiping a tear from your cheek. He examined your expression and got worried.

"You got those attacks again huh?"

"Yeah.." You said weakly.

North sat beside you and hugged you, drawing never ending lines up and down your arm. He embraced you with such warmth, it made you feel guilty. You pushed his body away and you cried. How did you deserve him? Your such a bad luck charm. He shouldn't be affected by you. North had a sad expression, but he didn't give up. He turned your whole body around, which made your distraught face face his concerned expression.

"[Y/N], talk to me."

"What.?"

"Talk to me. I care about you and I want to help." He said worriedly. He wasn't stern, it was more of comforting.

"North," your voice cracked.

"how did I deserve you?" You asked with a trembling voice as tears rolled out like a waterfall.

North was dumbfounded. How did you deserve him? How did HE deserve you?

"North, you are such a sweet person. I'm a walking bad luck charm. I don't deserve you. I'll hurt you." You crooked out. It was the hardest words to spit out.

He smiled with a tear rolling down his eye and wrapped you into a hug.  Your heart felt so warm, it was like a flower blooming. He stayed there for as long as he wanted and broke the hug.

"I never thought I deserved you. But seeing you hurt so much hurts me equally." North said as he slowly connected his forehead with ours, making you blush.

"You are a sweet person, always willing to help others, even for people who takes you for granted. You can be a dork at times, but I find it cute. I do mind about your emotions and feelings and I want to help. I love you inside out." North said soothingly, trying to keep his cool.

All you could do is look at his dreamy eyes. Maybe you did deserve him.

"Is it okay to ask if you can be my girlfriend now?" He blurted out, instantly blushing.

You cried even more and it made him lose his cool. He was hugging you and trying desperately to calm you down.

"Yes!" You exclaimed and pulled him into a kiss.

At first, he flenched by the suddenness, but eventually he got the message and kissed back passionately. It felt like a missing piece of you had finally connected.
