"According to our scouts and the coyote stealth squad..." Al'Aeen starts.
"What's stealth?"
"Umm, I mean they move without being discovered."
"Yeah, that's what coyotes do if they want."
"Fine, I like fancy words. Can I continue? So this is the layout of our location with the enemy warhog force numbering 600 in red, blocking the exit as if saying we can only go through them," the big man finishes.
"Well, the way back is blocked, so they're right. We need to go through them," Sorin points out, still considering his full-on charge as the best course of action.
"A new option has become available due to the awesome reports the coyotes have made available for me. Not exactly what I wanted to start with, but perhaps it will help you all understand my reasoning.
I assume you are wondering what everything means, but if you know our troop strength, you already know.
In yellow, Nazih will be leading the 50 cats.
The green area beside Nazih will have Aaron, leading the B force of 300 wolves, him included of course.
Just assume the leader is counted in the numbers, please.
The lowest are marked with gray-white will have Umani leading 90 coyotes.
A force in green above Umani will have Jena leading 400 wolves.
C and D are both equal Irregular forces comprised of Alpha Sorin's non-war-form wolves, with 700 in each. He will lead force C along with someone else he deems appropriate for force D.
Let's call this the initial positions.
As you can see, there are dotted arrows going directly over the canyon wall," Al'Aeen says, taking a small break to see if everyone is following.
"I was wondering about that," Conall admits.
"Like I said, the coyotes did a great job and it appears we are lucky. There is a large gap in the rock above us and..."
"I've been there. The canyon wall is high as fcuk! There is no gap anywhere."
"Agreed," Sorin adds, amazed that Aaron voices doubts before he has the chance.
"Umani, can you explain to our Alphas what they won't let me finish?"
"Certainly. The gaps are above us in the rock formation. As you can see on the map Al'Aeen is using, which was not drawn by him because he sucks at drawing, but by one of my coyotes. Just like a child though, he is pretty good at using colored pencils like red, green, blue and – ouch – what was that for, Conall?"
"I'm pretty sure that's not what he asked you to say."
"Right. So as you can see, between those rocks there is more than enough room to simply walk onto the plateau above us."
"Assuming you can get there," Jena says.
"Which we can. The war-form has tough as fcuk nails. I like comparing them to daggers, though considering what you call daggers around here, they are a lot stronger. The war-form also has a lot of power. The two combined make for a rock penetrating stab, which will allow one to climb up using the holes he, or the war-form before him made."
"Like that can actually happen!" Sorin huffs.
"It has. Two days ago, Al'Aeen showed me what he had been doing for a couple of hours each day while I was training you all to become war-forms. I have already climbed to the plateau above on the wall position corresponding to the yellow dotted arrow," Vi confirms.
"But our supplies are not enough to wait for him to build all the rest," Aaron points out and Sorin feels like applauding him.
