"Remind me why I got paired up with you again?" Sorin asks with a huff.
"I'm not the one who said and I quote – 'But it looks like B-force is getting the most fighting done. They have the most important role! I want to lead B-force! If I don't get to be in B-force, I'm not doing shit and neither are my 100 warriors! Guess what will happen to the irregulars as well?!' – end of quote. You basically threw a tantrum because you thought your role wasn't important enough after you had already agreed to go with whatever plan me and Jena deemed suitable following your loss of the agreement with Al'Aeen," Aaron answers him with a glare.
"Which you clearly enjoy rubbing in every time you get the chance to. And yet I still have to share leadership with you!"
"Whose fault is that you only have 100 war-form able warriors at your command?"
"Vi's, of course!"
"Oh, shut the fcuk up. The truth is B-force needed 300 war-forms, which means you were short 200 wolves anyway. And everybody knows you can't get the respect of a wolf over which you aren't the Alpha.
Also, if you pull your head out of your ass for a second, you'd realize in what an embarrassing position you put Al'Aeen when he had already given me full command of B-force."
"Serves him right after the way he has been manipulating me in the last couple of weeks! Luckily for him, you readily accepted his request like a good little wolf! Alpha Aaron, are you trying to suck up to the Chief Strategist?" Sorin asks with a smirk, his face smug.
"So besides trying to embarrass him, are you also giving him new titles because he doesn't like them?"
"Oddly enough, I've never seen a wolf run from recognition as much as he is. He continues to baffle me!
But at least I got my way and I'm leading B-force, even if it is alongside you. I guess I could put my differences aside for a while in the face of our common enemy."
"The signal to begin Phase 3 should come any moment now," Aaron tries to change the subject.
"My 100 war-forms are ready and eager."
"I've got confirmation that my 200 war-form able wolves are also ready to begin the feint-attack maneuver."
"Fcuk me under the light of the Two Moons and call me stupid!" Sorin almost yells.
"O...K? Mind if I ask why?"
"Here I am in B-force..."
"Riiight..."
"With you by my side, ALSO leading..."
"Mhm..."
"And a warriors ratio of 2 to 1 in your favor."
"Yeah, and..."
"And B-force has the most detailed plan of action throughout all the Phases of the plan."
"Meaning..."
"I am being isolated into a part of the plan where all my actions are predetermined, with you to keep an eye on me!"
"But you asked to be in B-force!"
"I KNOW! That FCUKER manipulated me AGAIN!" Sorin answers, barely containing his anger.
"Maybe Chief Strategist is a fitting title after all."
"You're smirking! Why are you... you knew! He kept insisting how important B-force is for the entire battle and you were so eagerly approving him!"
"Well, I did tell him that you would eventually catch on. So? Are you going to cause problems? Be the one that dooms the East and help the warhogs with your actions?"
"I'm not stupid, you know?! I will not do something that forces me to bow down to any Master! I am the Alpha!"
"He did predict you were going to say something along those lines..." Aaron says in a barely audible voice.
"What's that?"
"I said remind me not to give Al'Aeen a reason to apply his tactics to me."
"Right. He is annoying, I'll give you that. But then again, I've been provided with a great chance to prove how great Alpha Sorin of Southern Star really is!"
I think I'm going to surprise everyone and play exactly by the book, following the plan to the letter! That will teach them to underestimate me! And if I get to kill a lot of warhogs in the process, all the better! Sorin thinks, happy with his own decision.
"I got the signal!"
"Right! Everyone, wolf forms and look ferocious. Remember we are just going for a quick bite than running off, so we can trick them into the position for the next phase," Sorin says solemnly.
"Nobody shift to war-form no matter what! We need to wait for Phase 4 before we are cleared for that."
