"Sensei, how am I going to learn anything if you refuse to even give me the name of the Jutsu." Shiori deadpanned, gazing down at the dozing form of her teacher. Receiving no response, she contemplated on her chances of pouring water over her teacher and dumping worms. Perhaps she should do both?

"If you do whatever you're planning to do, I will forbid you from ever consuming Mochi(1) ever again." The sooth and deep voice of Katawara-sensei resounded. Shiori froze in her step and ceased all ministrations, "Hai, sensei."

Katawara-sensei stretched from the tree branch he had slept on, two branches lower than the one Shiori slept on, and yawned, "Good morning to you too, Chibisuke."

"Ohayo, sensei." Shiori greeted, "What are we going to learn today?"

Katawara Kazuya shot his student an annoyed look before sighing, "Today, we're going to start on Genjutsu(2). What is a Genjutsu in your opinion, no textbook answers."

Shiori stared at her teacher for a second, thousands of thoughts passed through her head, each waiting to be sorted in order before Shiori nodded to herself, "Genjutsu is like a riddle to me. Sensei in the Academy taught us that Genjutsu creates illusions, this gives me the thought that Bushin no Jutsu(3) is a type of Genjutsu, which in turn requires chakra control. Genjutsu is like the the appearance of the soap, from the look it seems dry and easy to hold, but once held its found to be slippery. Genjutsu to me is a way to trick another as long as we know the skills to do so, thus, Genjutsu is a riddle."

Katawara-sensei nodded, no longer surprised by the complex answer given by this child. Or course she was still six going on seven, but the sheer capability of her brains exceeded many Shinobi today. Most wouldn't even comprehend the meaning behind, well, anything they do. Genjutsu to them was just illusions. Ninjutsu(4) was their daily chakra drainer. Taijutsu(5) was their combat without chakra. Kenjutsu(6) was for those who had a hard time with the rest. Iryo Ninjutsu was for the sissy kunoichi, pah, they don't understand the significance of an Iryo Nin. And don't even get him started with Fuinjutsu(7) or Senjutsu(8), most don't even know it exist, much less comprehend it.

"Expected of you," Katawara-sensei approved, "You're going to be learning one of the easiest Genjutsu. Practice it on me, it's called Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu(9)."

Shiori nodded, her mind reeling for information she would've picked up about said Genjutsu. Obviously it has something relating with death— perhaps the death of a person they cared most about? Just as Shiori was about to open her mouth to ask, she felt something- so did her teacher.

Katawara-sensei narrowed his eyes and immediately brought Shiori behind him. He signed to her 'Stay Cover. Close. Shade.'

Shiori nodded after translating it in her mind, she signed back before disappearing up into a tree with the help of a practiced Shushin. She perch upon a branch and brought out a kunai, her teacher also nowhere in sight. Not long later, a man with with an animal mask and a familiar ANBU(10) Gear showed up. "Katawara Kazuya, Shiori Haruno. I'm under orders of Hokage-sama to pass along an information."

Shiori was startled when her teacher flashed down, back towards her, he signed behind his back. 'Signal. Tiger.'

Shiori buried herself deeper into the trees, waiting for the tiger sign signal her teacher would give. Her sensei was an elite jounin right? Does that mean he had been through ANBU protocol before? "The sky laid down their heart and storm brings rain..."

Shiori furrowed her brows. The ANBU seemed to be relaxed, "... The Valley of the End is where two sides of the same coin clash."

Katawara formed a tiger sign behind his back and Shiori appeared beside him in Shushin. She was a little disappointed when the ANBU showed no signs of being surprised by her appearance, was her chakra suppressing that bad? Or was it her stealth? Had the ANBU felt her chakra long before arrival?
