Shiori Haruno was known as a prodigy, a genius in Ninja Arts, apprentice of Amejitsuto no Katawara Kazuya, The Merciless Surgeon, however, above all the fancy title bestowed upon her, there was one title given to her that she wore with pride and joy, she would sweat blood and jump from heaven to hell for, as everyone should know, Shiori Haruno was all those but before everything- She was an older sister.
Sakura was difficult, she was hard on herself the same way Shiori was to herself, albeit sometimes in a different way but how many rational people would compare themselves to a widely proclaimed genius? Seriously comparing? Rarely. Shiori knew her sister better than anyone, she was able to read Sakura better than ever, even when she was younger she knew that, deep down in her heart, Sakura was just scared. Sakura was different from her but Sakura was her little sister, as thus it was the elder sibling's duty to protect their younger siblings.
That was one of the reasons she absolutely detested Itachi Uchiha, she does not care if he had a valid reason or if he wasn't even the one to kill but framed, Itachi Uchiha was a brother that Sasuke adored and him in turn. Shiori could understand, however, that Itachi was very much similar to her, he was a prodigy, they both had younger siblings they would lay the world down for- However, she could not fathom exactly why he would hurt his sibling. Shiori teaches Sakura but she would never tear down every fibre of belief in their body, so Shiori vowed many years that day she received that tragic news, she would never be like Itachi Uchiha.
Shiori Haruno was someone who would watch the world burn to ash if it was for her sister.

As she stormed into the middle class looking house, her eyes zoomed to the dining room where her father sat, reading the newspaper while her mother was cleaning the dishes off. Shiori scowled, deeper than ever and her eyes narrowed into a glare, "Okaa-san."
"Ah, Shiori-chan, welcome home," No more, she wasn't going to allow her mother to deliberately hinder the advancement of her sister. To hell with all the crap she put up, to hell with all the lack of affection she received from them, this was her sister that was concerned, not her own petty concerns of neglecting. And Shiori would rather die than allow Sakura to die just because of one woman's whims. "Okaa-san, have you deliberately been hindering Sakura's advancement as a Kunoichi?"
"Mebuki!" Her father hissed in alarm, newspaper long forgotten and eyes narrowed into a glare that was similar to the one on Shiori's face. "You did? I told you, time after time, to allow our daughters to do what they want!"
"I was merely looking out for her best interest," Mebuki Haruno sniffled angrily, placing the plate she had been cleaning down, eyes narrowed on Shiori's fuming form. Shiori bristled in anger and hissed out her response, "Best interest? That's rubbish!"
"I have you know I will make sure she never turns out like you," Mebuki glared, mouth curled into a sneer, "Or like that tramp of a sister Kazashi has!"
"Mebuki!" Kizashi roared in fury but Shiori was quick to cut in, "Excuse me? You're trying to kill her! Hindering her education, giving her false notions, providing her with less than sufficient nutrients! If this has continued, you could have killed Sakura!"
"I did what I must, protecting her." Mebuki went firmed on her belief, eyes challenging, disregarding the fact the girl before her was a Ninja for more years than her husband was, ignoring the title of 'Prodigy' Shiori held and the hitai-ate she wore proudly on her forehead. Even if she had a cast around her hand, Shiori was intimidating in all her might, her eyes were narrowed into a harsh glare, green sharp and glowing under the shadow cast by her pink hair that seemed a darker shade than usual and lips pressed into a thin, white line, "You were killing her! Okaa-san–"
