Author's Note
Hey guys today was my last day of school. Summer here I come! I'll be able to update a lot sooner ( even though only four people have read this ) and make longer chapters since I won't be updating late at night or at like five AM.
Hope you like this chapter!

After Tokki fits me for my costume, he sends me back to my bedroom in our luxury penthouse suite. I wonder how bad the coal miner outfits will be this year?
I get dressed in a plain green tshirt and some white denim shorts.
I comb out my soft blonde hair and pull it up into a ponytail.
Collapsing into bed I stare at the ceiling. It feels nice to just clear my head in the few minutes of complete silence I receive every day. It's peaceful.
I look up at the walls as white as the clouds in a spring sky. I remember at my family's old cottage, one summer, we decided to try to do some renovations. We took all of the furniture out and swept the floors, dusted, made new curtains ( the old ones were frayed and torn, allowing light in ), and even scrubbed the walls of their grime and dirt.
I remember sitting in the meadow with Griffin at the edge of the district. We would dare each other jokingly to touch the wire that supposedly had electricity racing through it. Although we were both almost certain it didn't, neither of us was brave enough to take that risk.
It makes me think of what it's like to not live in poverty. To not constantly worry about food supply, and money, and just hoping you can get through the bitter winter.
The Capitol lives wealthy lifestyles. They go shopping for fun, and feast at fancy restaraunts. They drive cars and spend their time at parties, never realizing what they have.
It hurts to know that they don't even give a second thought to anything they do.
They waste words on pointless conversations.
In all my rage, I never heard the door open wide to reveal Tokki beckoning me over.
"It's time to get ready for the parade." he says, simply.
I stand up, my weight wanting to just fall back onto my warm, comfortable bed.
But I resist and follow him down the hallway. We enter the prep room, and he sits me down in a chair. I am seated in front of a three way mirror that reflects back an image of Tokki in the back revealing a simple yet striking costume.
I see a pair of yellow skinny denim jeans and golden sandals.
The top is a lace yellow shirt with matching yellow feathers lacing the sides together, and feathers hanging off the bottom. It will be worn with a white tank top under rather it.
I'm in awe at the simplicity yet cleverness of the outfit.
"It's a canary." I say.
Like they have in the mines.
"Do you like it?" he asks, raising his eyebrows.
"It's great. It's a whole lot different from what you normally see, and I think the Capitol will find that unique.", I say truthfully.
"Thank you." he replies.
I quickly dress and admire the outfit in the mirror while Tokki makes small adjustments.
I'm handed over to Fleur, Violeta, and Alisma, the tragic trio, to deal with my hair and makeup.
They start by just combing out my hair and smoothing it down with a hair crème. It is then french braided with perfection down my back in a beautiful golden plait.
