My eyes flutter open and light streams through my window.

Well... actually it's Dustin's window. I turn my head to face him and notice he's not awake yet. He fell asleep with his arm around me. Neither of us could fall asleep last night, so I crept in here and we talked, then I dozed off in his arms.

I look at the clock on the wall and it's

7:00 AM.

I try to fall back asleep but fail and end up awake with my eyes closed.

I turn over slowly so I can see Dustin. He's sound asleep, lightly snoring. He pulls me closer in his sleep and I stifle a laugh.

I then remember that today is our last day in the Capitol. Tomorrow we start the games. I want to make the most of these last few hours. Tonight we have the interviews. Elsie is supposed to train us.

Ugh.

Dustin stirs and shifts. I can't help myself. I lean over and give him a soft kiss.

His beautiful brown eyes snap open, surprised at first, then relaxed and peaceful.

He kisses me back and says, "What a perfect way to start the morning."

He shifts back to lay down and it makes the bed creak under his weight.

I tell him I'm going to get breakfast and he says he'll meet me there in a few minutes.

The table is fully stocked with every breakfast food imaginable. I wonder how early the cooks wake up?

Everything smells delicious, even though I've had the same food everyday for the past two weeks.

It never stops smelling tasty. It makes my mouth water.

I decide on french toast and bacon. I take a smoothie also. I grab a plate for Dustin and dish him up some french toast, bacon, eggs, a banana, and a smoothie.

I load the two plates in my arms, and carefully walk down the hall to Dustin's room.

Dustin sits up in bed when I push the door open with my hip and walk to him smiling with breakfast.

"I thought I smelled something good.", he says, "Oh and look, it brought food." he says simply.

"Ha ha." I respond sarcastically.

I set his plate of steaming food down on his bedside table.

"Thanks." he says.

"No problem." I reply.

I walk around the bed to the other side and roll into it. I begin eating and I savor the sweet taste of the french toast with the rich syrup.

It dances on my taste buds and the deliciousness is soon gone and my plate in clean.

Dustin is still chowing down his food like pig, but then again I packed a whole buffet in a plate.

Doesn't look like he's complaining anyways. Well, he hasn't really told me otherwise. I guess he hasn't had time to while he shovels it in.

"I think you're supposed to chew your food before you swallow." I say nonchalantly.

"Ha ha." he replies sarcastically.

He goes straight back to inhaling his food like a vacuum.

I roll my eyes and smile.

I have nervous energy today. I'm worried sick about the games starting tomorrow.

I've trained hard, but you can never really be ready for something like this.

Once Dustin's plate is empty, he gets up lazily and walks with me to the living room. We collapse onto the plush white couch together. I lean my head on his shoulder.
