Taylor’s P.O.V
It was finally the day of the trip. I still didn’t want to go. I was planning on not packing and then when today came I would tell my mum I forgot but she packed for me.
“Get up and shower Momo.”
“I said I don’t wanna go.”
“I don’t care what you said, I say you’re going.”
“Whatever happened to free will?”
“It doesn’t exist in this house; now shower before I get mad.”
“Ok,” I groaned
I showered and got ready the only good thing about this trip is that we didn’t have to wear our school uniform. So I wore my black skinny jeans and a black and white top that was decorated in bat wings and skulls plus my black converses. I already had to wake up ridiculously early so I wouldn’t miss the coach, so I had a feeling that this trip was gonna suck.
My Mum dropped me off at school we said our goodbye’s and she left me. For so early in the morning the weather was pretty warm. I got on the bus and saw Hayden and sat next to him. I sat there and thought why am I here?
“How are you feeling?”
“Tired,” I yawned
“That’s not what I meant.”
“I’m dealing with it alright I guess I don’t cry as much.”
“I guess that’s good.”
He stared out the window and I stared at him. He turned around, saw me staring and sighed
“You want the window seat don’t you?”
“Yup! Please.”
“Fine,” he said and swapped seats with me
I was remotely happy until Amber and her ‘friends’ walked past and sneered and laughed
“I can’t believe people like her are still living and Aaron’s dead,” I said
She obviously heard me and said
“What did you say?”
“You heard me; people like you don’t deserve to live.”
She obviously thought she was being threatening by getting as close to ne as possible.
“And who are you to say?”
I shrugged
She suddenly raised her hand and slapped me. There weren’t many people on the bus but they irrupted into oooh’s and a couple of laughs.
All of the feelings that I had been keeping inside me since Aaron’s death suddenly exploded out of me and I grabbed the bitch by her extensions and dragged her off the bus. When we were outside I threw her on the floor.
“Don't ever touch me again, you disease ridden mongrel!”
By that time the people in the bus had made their way outside and formed a circle around us.
She attempted to punch me but I stepped back and dodged it. I grabbed her by the shoulders and kneed her in the stomach; she fell to the floor.
“Your attitude makes me physically sick!”
She got up off the floor and swung at me again; she lost her balance and fell back onto the floor.
“If you're smart you'll stay down.”
She didn’t listen to me and attempted to get up again. When she was about half way up I tackled her to the ground and continuously punched her in the face.
“Taylor that's enough!” Hayden shouted and pulled me off her and carried me back onto the bus.
“You are so lucky the teachers haven’t arrived yet.”
“She started it.”
“That’s not the point.”
“But she deserved it.”
He rolled his eyes and said
“The Coach Driver said he wouldn’t say anything but how are you going to explain the bruised on your face and the ones all over Amber?”
At that moment she was carried past by her friends
“Hey,” I called; they turned back
“If anyone asks she fell down the stairs this morning,” they nodded and walked away
“That’s how.”
I saw a hint of amusement in his eyes but it passed.
“Does you cheek hurt?”
“No not really.”
He gently pushed my head to the side so he could see the bruise better.
“Are you sure?”
“Mmhm I can’t feel a thing.”
I let out I big yawn and rubbed my eyes.
“Still tired.”
I nodded
“Put your head on my shoulder and go to sleep.”
I did as he said but I kept shifting around since my legs weren’t in a comfortable position.
“Aren’t you comfortable?”
“What makes you say that?” I didn’t wanna say yes because he was already letting me sleep on his shoulder.
“You keep moving around.”
“That’s how I sleep,” I lied
He chuckled and said
“Gimmie your legs.”
“Huh,” I said and looked at him puzzled and kinda worried
“Just do it.”
I was reluctant to do it so he grabbed my legs and brought them over so I was curled up in his lap.
“Thanks.”
I really appreciated all that he did for me. He smiled at me and I fell asleep.
I dreamt about Aaron and how he would have loved to have come on this trip with just. Just when I got him back, why did you take him away from me?
