Aaron’s P.O.V
I looked into Taylor’s eyes and said
“I think we should break up.”
I saw the emotion drain from her face. Those eyes that I loved so much that literally lit up every time she saw me were now dim and emotionless.
“Why?” she asked
“I’m love with someone else.”
She fell to the floor and started crying at that point everyone was looking at us
“Who is it?”
“It’s Amber.”
At that moment Amber came up to me and linked her arms with mine
“Let’s go.” She said an dragged me away
“Aaron!” she called and grabbed onto my arm
“If you’re doing this to protect me I can take care of myself.”
I shrugged her off
“I told I’m not in love with you anymore.” I said coldly and walked away
I looked back at Taylor and she was still on the floor crying her eyes out. It broke my heart to see her like this but I’m doing this to protect her. If you’re confused let me go back and explain.
It happened about a week ago but it had been 2 months since Taylor was discharged from the hospital and a month ago she came back to school. Everything was fine we were happy. Raine and Hayden had started going out around that time too. A week ago I was in the library after school studying for an exam I had the next day.
*Flashback*
Amber came and sat down at the table I was sitting at.
“You know I hate as much as Taylor does so why are you here?”
“I have a preposition for you.”
“And what makes you think I care?”
“Well if you care about the safety of your girlfriend you’ll listen to me.”
“What do you want?” I said through gritted teeth
“Break up with Taylor.”
“Now why the hell would I do that?”
“Like I said if you want her to be safe you’ll do as I say.”
“How do I know if you’re telling the truth?”
“My dad has enough money to get me whatever I want so why would I lie?” she had a point “So you will break up with her,”
“And what happens if I don’t?”
“See first she’ll lose her virtue, then her ability to move then her life.” She said with a cynical look.
I sighed and realised that I didn’t have much of a choice. So they only way to protect that one I love was to hurt her.
“So what’s your preposition?”
“You break up with Taylor and tell her you don’t love her anymore and that you’re in love with me and in turn she doesn’t get hurt, I won’t touch a hair on her head.”
“Deal but if she gets hurt in any way I’ll kill you,” I said through gritted teeth
She smiled at me and left me alone to think about what I had just agreed to.
*End of Flashback*
And that’s where we’re at now. I just broke up with the love of my life just so I could keep her safe. I shot Amber a deadly glare.
“Aw come on if you’re gonna do this your performance has to believable too otherwise there would be no point of doing this.”
When we got outside I pushed her off me, got in my car and drove off.
