Chapter 26- I Can't Believe I Just Did That

Hello all, here is chapter 26, sorry if it took a while I went to bible camp which I had to say was pretty fun. Anyway this chapter is dedicated to Karinchewsy who was nice enough to make a some covers awesome for this book even though I didn't ask for them. I really appretiate it and I will put it up once I choose which one I like best     :D.

Taylor's P.O.V

I walked into school and all eyes were on me. Great I did it again. I'm drawing attention to myself without even realising.

The school was deciding on whether to keep our uniforms or let us wear our own clothes, so for a period of one week we were allowed to wear whatever we wanted. So I am wearing sweats, a white t-shirt and white dunks. I looked around and saw girl wearing really revealing clothes in my opinion we should just stick with school uniforms. My hair was in a high messy bun and I had my glasses on. I couldn't find my contacts this morning, wearing them brought back memories of when I used to distance myself from everyone and no-one would look at me. Now I'm getting attention from everyone and I didn't like it one bit.

"Did you get out of bed like that?" Kyren asked

"I might as well have."

I couldn't be asked to do anything this morning. I didn't even have breakfast.

"Why do you keep looking down?"

"Everyone keeps staring at me and I don't like it."

"How 'bout we get you one of them lunch bags rip some holes in it and put it over your head," he said and laughed

"Haha very funny," I said in a monotonous voice "Also that would make people stare at me more."

"Yeah but if they can't see your face it really doesn't matter what they're looking at."

"Good point but I still think it's a silly idea."

"Come on class is starting."

We walked into class and Kyren and I took our seats.  20 minutes into the lesson there was an announcement

"Could Taylor Hunter please report to the principal's office immediately?"

The class erupted into ooh's I rolled my eyes and made my way to the principal's office. I walked in and said

"You wanted to see me sir."

"Take a seat please."

I sat down in an oversized chair on the other side of his also oversized mahogany desk. I felt really out of place here.

"Now there's no easy way to say this and I am really sorry to be saying it at a time like this but it has to be said."

His expression became solemn

"Your parents were involved in a fatal car accident and were pronounced dead at the scene."

Everything just seemed to go black and I was engulfed in a sudden darkness. This can't be happening. Tears started falling from my eyes and they wouldn't stop. What was the worst of all was how the twins were gonna deal with this. I mean I can't even deal with this. What am I gonna do? What's gonna happen from now on? I was brought out of my train of thought when a gentle hand was placed onto my shoulder. I looked up and saw the principal looking at me with really sad eyes.

"I'm sorry I'm like this."

"No it's fine you have every right to be."

"No I don't if I can't be strong now how am I gonna break this to my little brothers."

"Take all the time you need to cry and when it comes to it be strong for your little brothers."

"Um... I think I'll go back to class now."
