Taylor’s P.O.V
“Yes my name is Aaron but can I ask you a question?”
“S-s-sure.”
“Who are you?”
My heart just broke in two and I couldn’t reply to his question. I tried to talk but the word just refused to exit from my mouth. Why didn’t he remember me?
“I-it’s m-e Tay-Taylor.”
“Who?” his tone sounded confused
“Don’t you remember me, we spent a year in that stupid house together.”
I finally managed to get out a sentence without stuttering
“I’m sorry but I don’t know who you are.”
I couldn’t believe that he didn’t remember me. After we spent all that time together
*Flashback*
I was walking home from school one day when suddenly a black van pulled up on the curb next to me. 3 men rushed out one chloroformed me and they carried me and put me in their van and drove off. When I finally woke up I was in a small dim room. It was damp and the air was thick with the stench of mould. I frantically look around to see if I was the only one in the room. I noticed a pale boy in the corner he was clutching his knees to his chest and his head was down. I crawled over to him and said
“Hello, do you know where I am?”
“Sorry no,” he replied solemnly
“Where am i? Where’s my mum and dad? What are they going to do to me?” I asked frantically
He looked at me with sad eyes. I studied him carefully he had brown hair but because of the lighting in the room it looked almost black, the pale complexion of his skin brought out the blue in his eyes. He looked sick, like he hadn’t eaten in days
“Honestly I don’t know.”
“There are probably gonna kill me aren’t they,” I said and started to cry
He hugged me and said
“I won’t let that happen, I’ll protect you ok.”
“Promise?”
“Promise.”
“Pinkie swear,” I said childishly and held out my little finger
“Pinkie swear,” he said and locked his little finger with mine and smiled at me
We began talking I told him how I suddenly got kidnapped and dumped here for no reason. He told me that he couldn’t remember how he got here.
“By the way what’s your name?” he asked
“Taylor, and yours?”
“It’s Aaron.”
I let out a loud yawn and he chuckled
“Tired?”
I nodded
“There’s a bed over there,” he said and pointed to a worn out mattress that had been placed in the middle of the room.
“Is there only one?”
“I can sleep on the floor if sleeping on the same bed will make you feel uncomfortable.”
“No it’s fine, plus you were here first.”
I lay down on the bed but I couldn’t fall asleep. Half an hour later Aaron came to sleep as well.
“Will you hold my hand?”
“I thought you were asleep.”
“I can’t fall asleep I’m too scared.”
“Sure I’ll hold your hand.”
He gently wrapped his hand around mine and whispered
“Don’t be scared, I’ll protect you.”
*End Of Flashback*
I still remember that day like it was yesterday. The first day I met Aaron even though it had to have been the worst ordeal I’d ever gone through meeting him there made it the happiest day of my life.
“Please don’t forget me Aaron.” I sobbed
