Our plan for France was perfectly arranged: we would stay one week in Paris, mostly separated as couples to enjoy the city and I would have another examination here; then we will fly to Marseille and stay there for a weekend until we will take a tour through the rest of the Provence and visit Grasse; after that we will stay a few days on the coast. Carlisle already talked with his boss and said that he needed a break for as long as it needs, saying that I was pregnant and that he wanted to stay with me. He agreed and said that he should call then. Then it was Carlisle’s turn to call our children’s school to get a longer break for our tour, since it would at least a month more than the school break. But to my surprise they agreed with it, saying that our kids have so great marks in school that the break wouldn’t bother much. That made us independent from these responsibilities for now.
We arrived at a wonderful looking hotel a little outside of Paris. Carlisle opened my door, helped me out and gave the keys to the staff. Then he got our key and we went upstairs. “Are the others coming as well, I haven’t seen them?” “No, they all booked their own hotels so that we could spend some alone time,” Carlisle explained. Oh right, we wouldn’t even share the hotel. He opened the door and let me go inside. It was once again rather a suite than a hotel room. Its main colors were dark blue and gold and in the center stood a huge oak table, decorated with white tulips. I walked into the bedroom and saw our luggage already placed near the bed. The bed itself was huge and a white canopy hung above. I sat down on it and rubbed my stomach. I was starting to get hungry. Carlisle walked into the room and kneeled in front of me. “Is everything alright?” “Yes, just a little bit hungry.” He looked relieved. “If you want we could eat something in the restaurant of the hotel or we get the room service.” “I would rather that we go out, I want to see a bit of Paris.” “Okay, then. Do you need some time to refresh?” “Yes, thank you. I’ll be just a minute,” I said and kissed him. He left the bedroom and I was all to myself.
Suddenly my cell phone rang. “Yes?” “Esme, I saw that you will go to the restaurant this evening; so I packed a cocktail dress with fitting high heels into your luggage,” Alice said. “Thank you, Alice. What would I do without you?” I mocked. “You wouldn’t wear those nice clothes,” she laughed. “I have to go now; Jasper planned something and wants to go now. Have a nice evening. I already arranged that all the girls make a shopping tour on Thursday after your appointment.” “Okay, bye Alice and enjoy the evening.” “I will bye!” Then the line was dead and I looked through my luggage finding the promised dress. It was black and a bit shiny. It looked like lace. I got myself ready in the bathroom and then looked at the mirror. The dress went to my knees and had a long neckline, but nothing that would reveal too much. The sleeves were ruffled just like the bottom of it. I wore fitting black high heels. I took my black leather jacket and got out of the room. Carlisle gasped: “You look stunning.” “Thank you. Let’s go!” I laughed and took his hand.
