Eirlys/Lord Astor                {Eirlys' thoughts}

--------------------------------------------------------

"Lord Astor, I have something urgent to report."

"Not in the mood of being entertained by the King.

Send his man away."

{My lord, it's the king. Are you sure it's alright to treat him like a clown? Well... to be frank the King does look and act like a clown. He acts more like a mascot these days.}

"I have already told King Leonard's man you were too ill to go out.

You have diarrhea.

So even if you wanted to, you can't leave the washroom, thus the house."

{Astor freezes for one noticeable second, then looks up from the document he is reading. Eyebrow raised. Take that! My little revenge! And see if you dare boss me around again!}

"Aren't there better excuses?"

"That's the best excuse according to my professional judgement."

"Professional judgement.

Really?

I am seriously doubting it.

You spent minutes bickering with your boss when you have urgent matter to report?"

"Uh..."

{I admit I nearly forgot. But the keyword is nearly.}

"Team Alpha and Team Apollo have returned, claiming their mission has failed."

"I am confused.

If they haven't completed the mission I gave them, why did they return?"

"They reported that Felicity power was way too strong.

According to the mind reader in Team Apollo, before she developed an uncontrollable migraine, Felicity was told to be aware of the enemies.

So her luck prevents all her enemies from coming close to them.

3 of them fell down from their horses and fractured their femurs, 2 of them slipped on perfectly dry ground and sprained their ankles."

"A healer is assigned to the teams for a reason."

"An apple fell down from the tree and hit her on the head. She is still unconscious."

"Interesting.

So every single one of them is indisposed by luck?"

{A murderous glint appears in his eyes. Eirlys, tread very carefully now.}

"Yes, my lord."

"You said that girl is asked to be careful of the enemies?"

"That's correct."

"Where are they now?"

"Before the teams returned, they were three towns away from the mountains."

"Eirlys, it has been a long time since we left the capital.

Want to go on a date with me?"

{My heart skipped a beat, what with his charming smile and alluring invitation. Eirlys, remember he is still angry a moment before. I have to tread carefully. And treading carefully means not defying my lord's wish.}

"I would love to."

{I give him a smile and am awarded with villainous smirk. Uh-oh what is he planning?}

Recently I have posted a chapter on character aesthetics. I had fun making it! It's my first time trying that, but I think it turned our quite nicely. Go check it out if you haven't! (Now I guess people won't mistake Eirlys as a boy XD)
