{A duel. I have never seen Astor uses a sword. So I am not sure about his dueling ability. But surely he would not choose something he is not good at? Furthermore, I am worried about his health. He uses command and there are always repercussion to his body.}

"I will beat you! And teach you a lesson."

"Your highness, my lord. I have a suggestion.

To make things fairer and to show case your spectacular sword skills.

Power using should be banned."

{I doubt Astor will use his power. He can defeat Prince Lucien by just opening his mouth, but he chooses to duel. So I guess there is no way he will use his power. (Males are impossible to understand. Why drag on fights when you can finish it in seconds?) I have to prevent Prince Lucien from using his power. His powers are wind and fire. They will come in handy in dueling.}

"I accept.

I will beat you fair and square. 

I have superior skills, I don't need powers to help me."

"Are you sure, your highness?

But whatever you want."

"Are you looking down on me?

See if you can handle this."

{They start fighting. Sword flashing. It seems like Astor is leading. I release a breath I have no idea I was holding. But wait... Astor seems paler than before. Did Prince Lucien's sword nick him? Or is it because of the repercussion from using his power against Felicity, the embodiment of luck?}

"Ren, you! 

You never revealed your true self or true power, did you?"

"Lucien. So naive.

Have you ever been beaten in sword? By anyone? 

Do you truly think you are the number one swordsman in the kingdom?" 

"You're telling lies to distract me!"

"Lie or truth... does it matter?"

"I treated you as my best friend and everything you showed me was a lie! 

That's how you repay me? 

If it wasn't for me, you would have rotted in hell!" 

"Who pushed me into hell?"

"What are you trying to imply?"

"All it takes is a single word from the prince. 

And everything spirals down.

You lost."

{Astor's sword is on Prince Lucien's neck. If Prince Lucien wasn't so stupid as to engage Astor in a verbal fight, the duel might have lasted longer. He was certainly goaded by Astor, making him distracted and exposing his own weaknesses. Has things finally ended? I close my eyes to try to look into the future. Vision is starting to get blurry from the number of times I have pushed my power to its limit.}

"Stop saying in riddles.

Why did you do that to me?"

"Devil's spawn. The curse bringer.

Do you know what kind of treatment my mother and I were subjected to just because of your nicknames?

Words can drive one mad."

"What are you talking about? 

Your mother was crazy!

Everyone knows that!"

"My mother was not crazy!

She was driven to insanity.

All because of your mother and your words.

She was treated like a social pariah by her supposed friends.

No amounts of words from Father and I could save her from depression.

All because of a passing comment from the Queen and the subsequent bullying of the said devil's spawn by the prince.

Words kill. I learn that from a young age."

"That's not true. 

Mother would never do that on purpose.

It's supposed to be a joke!

Just like all my nicknames for you!"

"No one takes that as a joke.

Mother was a mind reader. 

She would know.

The evilness of human's heart was what driven her to insanity and death."

{Sometimes I do wonder if Prince Lucien has something wrong with his head. How can he be so insensitive? Now of all times? It's a wonder Astor didn't just kill him. I continue to check the future. It's better to be save than sorry. Then I notice something.}

"My lord the knights..."

"Lucien's knights... you aren't planning to assassinate me, right?

A duel is a duel. 

I am sure you won't undermine your prince's honor.

I definitely hope your pride is still intact, Lucien."

"Knights. 

You can leave me if you want. 

I have lost.

And I will leave the country."
