I can't believe I am so stupid as to treat a traitor as my best friend. 

The fight is over, revive Felicity, you devil!"

"I have no plan to keep the love of your life as sleeping beauty. 

She shall wake up when you two are 3 days away from the border of our kingdom.

I command that under no condition Lucien Fairfax and Felicity Holt can return to Edehan.

I command that Felicity Holt's luck should no longer affect Edehan.

{Astor's face becomes even more ashen. His power is trying to influence and control Felicity's power. The backlash to his body must be huge.

As soon as we step out of the inn, Astor starts coughing.}

"Are you alright, my lord?"

"Never been better, Eirlys.

Let's have your shoulder treated."

"My lord, don't worry about my shoulder! 

You are coughing out blood.

We need a healer now!"

[My vision is blurry and the pain at the shoulder is getting unbearable. I have to send for a healer and guards before I faint. I wonder if I am losing my sight. My eyes feel weird. Must be the fallout from pushing my power to the limit to look further into future. I take out a whistle and blow into it. Then everything goes dark.]

"How are you feeling, Eirlys?"

"My lord, can you light up a candle? 

Everything is so dim."

 "Can you see me?"

"Yes... but dim and hazy."

"I told you to stay safe!

But did you listen?

If I had known, I would not have allowed you to use your power like this.

{Ah, so I really did not imagine that. I really lost my sight as repercussion.}

"My lord, if I had not gone, you would have died.

I knew this might happen when I kept pushed my power to the limit.

{I really have no regrets. Astor is my savior. When I was cold and hungry, when I had nearly given up my life, he saved me. He gave me a home. He gave me warmth. Losing my sight is nothing. But why am I crying? Because I no longer have the right to accompany him?}

We are going to find a way to heal your eyes.

Even if your vision does not recover, that's alright.

You are still Eirlys, my Eirlys."

{Astor starts to stroke me on my head in the same way as he did when I was small. And just like that I feel comforted and safe. Like old times.}

"But I'm useless now.

I can no longer act as your assistant."

"Who needs you to be my assistant?

I just need the girl who understands my loneliness and darkness. 

The girl who stays by my side no matter what. 

I just need her to stay by my side."

"I will be by your side, my lord. Always.

Just don't be angry with me when I stumble behind you."

"You know I hate people who stumble. 

So I guess you have to hold tight onto my hand from now on.
