1) Advertise in the correct SYS thread.Yes girl or guy; we ALL advertise in the correct demographic Thread. Shoo away for advertising in the wrong one; I'm being sarcastic here.
2) Be active on the forums.
3) Check if your friend is interested in what you are writing about.
4) Write passionantely.
5) Get help writing it if you don't know what to do for a couple chapters.
6) Ask for promotiions.
7) Make private chapters for your followers; who are interested and followed you for that book. Private Chapters are neccassary when the chapters do not go along with what is CURRENTLY going on in the story; OR if it's going in the style of "She said, he said" from Doctor Who.
8) Vote for your own story when it hits 50 votes; then you won't feel guilty making fake votes.
9)Have a good cover.
10) Have a good blurb/summary
11) Have a title that you like.
12) Don't let someone hijack your story, please.
