                                                                              Kara

When I wake up, i'm lying on my bed. I cover my face from the bright light coming from my window. I get up and close the curtain. When did I get into bed? The last thing I remember is I was about to go fight Reign. Why am I here? To clear my head, I take a shower. After i'm done and dressed there's a knock on my door. Who could that be? I open it expecting Alex or somebody I know. I'm not expecting a blue man with white hair and three orb things on his forehead. Who is this guy?

"Oh my goodness. You're Supergirl. I can't believe that i'm finally meeting you." I shush him and pull him inside, slamming the door behind me.

"Who are you?" I ask practically screaming at him.

"Oh. I'm Brainiac 5." He grins, but as soon as he sees my face, it fades away.

"Well, Brainiac, you can't come yelling that i'm Supergirl for the world to hear. I have to keep my identity a secret."

"One, I didn't yell it. I'm just excited. Second, no one will hear me." A sense of dread washes over me.

"What do you mean?" I ask, my voice trembling. Brainiac starts laughing. He stops when he realizes that i'm not kidding,

"You don't know? You're in a coma."

"Wh-what?" I shake my head. "I can't be in a coma. I'm Supergirl. I'm practically invincible."

"Yeah, practically. You're not completely invincible. Reign is a world killer. She's- and i'm not trying to offend you- but she's stronger than you."

"That's not possible. Is it?" Brainiac nods.

"It is. That's why we need to get you out of this coma. While you're in here, she's out there killing criminals for the "sake of justice." That girl is messed up." At that Braniac starts laughing like he thought that that was the funniest thing.

"First things first. We need to look for any signs of brain damage. What we're looking for is...." Brainiac's voice fades as I lit my mind stray. I spot a picture of me and Mon-El laughing. I didn't even realize that Alex had taken that at the time. I'm glad she did though. I look down, blinking, trying not to cry. Huh? What's that? I notice a small hole in my shoe. Almost invisible. When did that get there?

"Supergirl, focus," Brainiac pulls me out of my thoughts. I take one last glance at the picture of me and Mon-El and Brainiac follows my gaze. He nods with understanding. I thought that he would let it drop, but apparently he has no common sense when it comes to these things.

"Well, statistically he still loves you. When we got here I spent hours mulling over this crazy occurrence and there is still a-"

"Stop it," I say cutting him off. I wasn't about to get all emotional with a guy who talks statistics when it comes to love. I mean who does that?

"Okay then. Time to look for any signs of brain damage. Anything unusual in here." I nod and we get to work checking everything. Under my bed, the couch. Even in the frames of my pictures. When we're finished, we go and sit in the kitchen.

Okay. What now?" I ask. Brainiac just grins.

"All you have to do is open the door." I gawk.

"This entire time, all I have had to do was open the door?" Brainiac shakes his head. What? He literally just said to open the door. Why is he shaking his head like i'm stupid?

"Well, this is going to sound cheesy, but you have to want to open the door. We had to check for any signs of brain damage before you could leave."

"So all I have to do is want to open the door. That's it?" He nods. I get up and walk towards the door. Putting my hand around the door knob, I pause. I think about the hole in my shoe, but instantly push it away, eager to wake up.

Who knew that a tiny whole in my shoe that's barely noticeable, could do a lot of damage.

I turn the door knob and open my eyes.
