Chapter 27- Home Sweet Home

I breathe a sigh of relief as I sink down onto my couch, glad that this crazy day is over. We said goodbye to Cisco after we got back and they threw a welcome back party for me even though I wasn't gone very long. Mon-El sits down next to me and puts his arm around my shoulders.

"It's been so crazy,"I say. He looks at me with a smile.

"But at least you're home,"he says, melting my heart. "What did I do to deserve you?"

"Everything,"I reply. He kisses me and I melt into his touch, glad to be home.

2 months later

"Kara,"Alex yells at me from outside my door. "You haven't been at the DEO for days. Let me in. I need to know that you're okay." I groan as I push myself up from the bathroom floor.

"Finally,"Alex says when I open the door. She narrows her eye. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing,"I try to assure her. "I just haven't been feeling like myself lately."

"Are you sick? You don't get sick though." Alex looks at me, confused.

"It could be like a Kryptonian virus or something,"I tell her, hoping that it's easily treatable. 

"Well lets go to the DEO and get you checked out." I nod and follow her out, and we head to the DEO. We get there and we go into the infirmary. A few hours later, Alex is still puzzled on what's wrong. 

"Tell me your symptoms."

"I've just been feeling nauseous and I can't keep anything down most of the time." Alex's eyes widen and she leaves for a few minutes. She comes back with a shopping bag.

"Take this into the bathroom and follow the directions,"she orders, shoving the bag into my arms. 

I shut the bathroom door, reaching into the bag. I take out a box of pregnancy tests. What? I didn't even think of this. A couple of minutes later, I nervously look at the stick. It's positive. I'm silently screaming when I step out to find Alex pacing back and forth. She looks up at me and I nod, biting my lip to hold back happy tears. 

Mon-El walks in on us hugging and screaming.

"Uh. What's going on?" Alex meets my eyes before leaving the room. Mon-El looks at me in confusion and worry.

"Are you okay? I've noticed how you haven't been acting like yourself lately."

"Mon-El, I have some good news and bad news. Which one first?" He grabs my hands in his.

"The bad news."

"We're going to have to get a bigger place." He shakes his head in confusion and I watch as he slowly makes the connection. 

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah, I'm pregnant." He laughs and hugs me. After a few minutes, we leave to figure out how we are going to tell the others. Mon-El tells me about his idea and we start planning.

3 weeks later

"Alright, listen up,"Alex demands. "We got an alert that needs all of you. Sam will also go to help and we need the Guardian. J'onn, can you join us?" J'onn nods, morphing into his Alien form. Winn looks confused that he didn't see any alert, but he just shakes his head and goes to get the van equipment ready. We're doing this in the park where Lena will be. I told her to meet me there so that we can do some much needed catching up. She thinks that I've been busy with Supergirl stuff, but has no idea that I've been spending most of my time planning this. 

Mon-El comes and puts his arm around me as everybody bustles around us, getting ready. Just before we head out, Alex looks at me and winks. Sam looks at her in confusion. She has no idea either.

We get to the park and Lena looks at us in confusion.

"What is going on?"

"Alex said that there was an alert,"James tells her. Winn gets out of the van and Mon-El comes to stand next to me. 

"There was an alert,"Alex says. "Just not the kind you thought."

"Alex, just tell us,"J'onn says sighing. 

"But it's not my news to tell. It's theirs."She nods her head at us. Everybody turns their attention to us and I look at Mon-El nervously.

"The alert was.."I started.

"That there will be a mini us running around. So get ready." Everybody just looks at us blankly until Winn finally shouts,"You're having a baby!" 

Everybody understands now and start fawning over us and so many people are talking at once, that I just stop paying attention. 

I watch everybody, thinking about how we got here. How much that we have all gone through. Finally, after so many obstacles that were put in my way, I finally have the life that I've always dreamed about and more. I'm surrounded by friends and family and that's all that I need.
