Kara
I walk into the warehouse, fully aware that this is probably a trap. We got an alert of alien activity here and it wouldn't be the first time. For the past few months, there has been alien activity in remote place like this. Almost every time, there's been some kind of trap. The worst one was when a kryptonite rope wrapped itself around me and Mon-El had to come and get me out. Not one time did we catch who was behind it. It's like their not there, but I can feel them lurking in the shadows. I can feel someone watching me, but I can't see them.
I cough as I walk into a thick spiderweb. It looks like nobody has been here in years, but that can't be the case.
"Hello," I call out, my voice echoing. Suddenly, a portal opens up a few yards in front of me and several ragged people jump through it. It closes behind and I walk slowly toward them. When I get closer, I can see that they're wearing white robes, their faces covered by hoods. There's 3 people and one of them isn't wearing a white robe. I recognize her as Mon-El's mother, Rhea. Her hands are bound by lead chains.
"Who are you," I say loudly. Without removing their hoods, they push Rhea towards me and another portal opens. They step through it, leaving me alone with Rhea, the woman who tried to tear Mon-El and I apart.
"Hello Supergirl,"Rhea says.
"What are you doing here? Who were those people?"
She smirks. "Bring me to my son and I'll tell you."
"How do you know that he's here?"
"The people told me, now take me to him."
"How are you even alive right now? The lead poisoned you and I watched you die." Rhea laughs.
"After I died, I woke up in a dark cave. The people who saved me, gave me the pleasure of telling me how. After that though, they treated me like crap."
I roll my eyes, getting impatient. "So tell me how you survived."
"They told me that they practically bled me dry, getting the lead out of my system and since I'm stronger than the average human, I lived. After that, they gave me a vial of something to drink and told me that I wouldn't be affected by lead anymore. Now that I told you, take me to Mon-El." I grab her arm and quickly fly her to the DEO. Everybody's facial reaction to me bringing in Rhea would've been funny, if the situation wasn't so confusing.
I bring Rhea to a cell, practically throwing her in. Alex comes to stand beside me.
"Everybody is waiting for you to come explain." She says. I nod and we both head that way. I get there just as Mon-El does.
"Hey, what's going on?" he asks me. I put my hands on his shoulders.
"Mon-El, your mother is back." Mon-El's eyes widen. After his shock wears off, it's replaced with anger.
"How dare she come back. Wait, I thought that she died." I explain to everybody what Rhea had told me. Mon-El stares at the floor the whole time.
"Are you okay?" I ask him. He looks up and I can see anger and confusion.
"She wants to see me? Why?" I shrug.
"You don't have to do it if you don't want to Mon-El." His face hardens.
"I have to. We need answers. I need answers." With that, we all head to the cell.
