Chapter 26: I don't know what to do anymoreMONDAY MEANS I HAVE TO GO BACK TO WORK.
The first thing that came to mind when I thought of 'work' was The blonde headed pervert himself, Esteban. The thought made me shiver as I was wrapping my hijab in the washroom. Yassef has already left the house earlier than I have to go to his work. He left me some breakfast on the table as I quickly shoved the French toast down my throat.
I decided to go to work without any makeup today, nothing on my skin and go as a natural. While I slipped on shoes, I made a mental note not to make eye contact or any kind of contact with Esteban. There was no way that he would not be here today. I knew for a fact that he doesn't miss a single day of work and if he was, he must be very sick.
I made sure not to be at least of a good distance away from him. Our last encounter was probably our worst encounter considering his intrude in the house. After that day, I never really knew what a person like Esteban could be plotting. He has a way with everything, just like he had a way of finding himself in my house. And he doesn't even think twice before he does something inappropriate.
When I got in the car and drove my way to work, I made sure to park in the back side of the building. Last time I parked in the front near the entrance, Esteban came following me outside to black mail me into doing something haram. This time, I plan on leaving from the back, just to avoid all contact.
As I made my way inside the building, the first thing I did was sign in. It's been a while since I've been to work. It actually felt like days when it hasn't even been that long.
The same people I knew and recognized stood in the same places, each of them in their station. At this point, I was at my position as well taking up the usher board.
As costumers walked in, I was concentrated on my job and what I had to do to help these people pick out what they want, where what is, and so on.

Not once has it crossed my mind that Esteban was actually here, in his station and his eyes burning into my body. I dressed the most modest I could have. I made sure to wear a dress that was up to my knees and my uniform shirt on top. My tights were only from my calves which was less revealing.
He never moved his eyes away. I made sure not to stare but the corners of my eyes couldn't help it. It's like he knew what I was trying to do today and like he was finding a way to talk to me without me spying on him.
He had a game plan.
"Excuse me miss," somebody came in front of my view, tapping me on the shoulder.
I snapped my eyes away from the shelves, "Hello. Everything okay?"
The little boy, blonde hair blue eyes, typical little white kid, smiled at me with his braced teeth, "I was trying to buy a laptop right? But my mom thinks it's too expensive. I saw the description deal on the mirror, and it gave a pretty decent deal. I wanted to know if I can pay the down payment right now, so that I could pay 50 bucks a month" he explained to me, a little more detailed than said.
I smiled at the little kid, "That's not something I could help you with" so I turned to my left and pointed at the blonde mop of head a.k.a Esteban, "But he can help you." I said.
He shook my hand, "Thank you" and ran off.
Esteban worked as customer service. Helping that kid was more of his job than mine anyway. I worked more of an usher, someone who helps people find what they are looking for. Anything that has to do with bills and down payments etc, I don't have to work on.
