Play That Funky Music Chapter Fifteen.

Its fourth day into the River Rat tour and the boat is getting smaller by the minute for all the crew, the band, Sophie and Kate. (Who had decided to stay with us.)

Luckily TKAK left to go and see Ralph for a bit so there was just enough air left for us to breathe in on the boat. To be honest most of the limited amount of space is over taken by empty beer and wine bottles. I sort of expected it though.

The canal boat is on its way to Reading and Vevo are here with the band for a bit to film them on the tour, performing Flaws. It looks really good even though I was told I had to stay well away from the camera for this but I still managed to get a small glimpse of the band playing….

After they had finished filming.The boat pulled in to a dock to let the camera crew off.

I was in the bedroom talking to Janna, Kate and a little bit to Sophie when Dan appeared. "Hey, Lola can I talk to you for a second?" Dan asked his face all cheery looking.

"Yeah sure!"  I said as I made my way through mess on the floor.

We stood in the Kitchen section of the boat and Dan smiled at me for what felt like years, saying nothing.

"What is it Dan?" I asked, knocking him out of his daydream.

Dan shock his head to shake whatever he was thinking away. "Will you go on a date with me tonight?" He said as he moved his hands through the quiff.

"Yeah, I would love too but where we going to go on this boat?" I asked him, a little confused at how a date would work on a canal.

"No we are going to get off now." Dan said acting quite excited. But I still had no idea what he meant. “I’ve booked us a hotel room.” He said, me instantly recognizing how it was going to work.

"Whoop. You're the best Dan!" I told him as I reached and kissed his stubbly face because he hadn't shaved since Saturday. A break from the boat would do us both good.

After picking up my bag of clothes I decided I needed to go and get my notebook just so that no one would find it whilst I was away. When I went to go and grab it from under the bed I realized it wasn't there. Sophie, Kate and Janna gave me a confused look as to what I was doing under the bed but I ignored them and started panicking a little bit. 

I got up and ran towards the patiently waiting Dan. "I can't find my diary" I sweated.

Dan ran toward the bed and looked under it too. He couldn't see anything.

"Lost something?" Sophie asked.

"Yeah we have" replied Dan. ‘Please don't tell them what I’ve lost Dan.’ I thought to myself.

"What?" She queried.

"Just emmmm a reading book." Dan stuttered awkwardly.

"This?" Sophie asked pulling out the diary from the back of her.

"Yes that." Dan said running up to her before she had a chance to open it. He snatched it from her hands and returned it to me. "Thanks" I whispered.

We left the boat together saying nothing but it was obvious we were both hoping she hadn't read it.

"Lola. When was the last time you had the diary." Dan questioned as he grabbed a hold of my empty hand.

"This morning; I've been with Sophie for most of the day so I don't think she would have read it." I said trying to clear mine and Dan's mind from worrying. "Ok then... It should be fine" Dan said reluctantly.
