Chapter 14

"We need to move before the fighter spots us." Optimus ordered.

"Wait here until we scout a route ahead."

"Optimus I am coming with you." I announced. Optimus paused for a moment and kneeled down.

"No. That's not the best choice. I almost caused your death the first time not again." Optimus objected.

"It wasn't your fault!" I shot back.

"Hey, think we could use that rocket to shoot down the pillar?" Sam asked, interrupting our argument.

Epps and the guys armor up. "We're eight blocks away. We gotta get closer to take a shot." Epps told Sam.

"Not closer. Higher. We need a clear shot on sight." one of Epps guys corrected.

"And it's across the river. Gonna have a hell of a time trying to sneak up." Epps added. "We only got one shot." another guy said.

I thought for a moment. "One shot; all we need."

"Alright, let’s go." Hide insisted. Optimus transforms into his alt-mode letting me get inside. He buckles me in tightening the seat belt around my waist.

"Optimus! A little to tight!" I chirped.

"You wanted to come so you got it!" Optimus yelled at me through the speakers. I gasped shocked at the fact of him yelling at me and I slapped the dashboard.

"You will only hurt yourself Sweetspark." Optimus tells me.

"Why do you always see me as a damsel in distress? I am not Optimus!" I pondered.

Optimus is quiet for a few seconds probably not to intrigued by my question. "I worry about the fact of you getting killed." He answered.

I unstrapped myself from the passenger seat and move over to the driver side. I pat the seat with a smile and say in a loving tone,

"I am not going anywhere Optimus. I love you too much to be taken away from you. As I have told you before I won't let the dark Energon take you over. I am strong in more ways than one."

Optimus is suddenly shot at ruining our precious moment together.

"Autobots we have company!" Optimus shouts through his com link to the others.

Explosion after explosion, boom after boom hit my ear drums. Optimus tries to get out of the way of the missiles. He re-straps me in to keep me from sliding all over the seats. I opened the driver side window finding a huge airship right on Optimus’ ass. Optimus drives faster through the mayhem city.

"Optimus! We have to move faster! They're right behind us!" I panicked.

Optimus swiftly turns onto another street trying to escape the airship. I lean my head out of the open window again seems it hasn't let up at all. I look wildly around for some way to distract the airship and Optimus continued to book it not realizing I just climbed out of the open driver side window. The wind blows through my hair as I shakily walk on the trailer, holding my flaming Axe and sword in each hands. Getting a good steady hand then I throw them hopefully enough to distract the Decepticon controlling the airship. However, that hadn’t seemed like a good idea because the airship continued shooting. It took me a moment to identify how useless my attempt actually was.
