2 Months LaterOptimus' Pov
I was in Lily's apartment, looking out at the rain hitting the window sill. "I wonder if it will always be this way?"
"Why must I continue to fight?" I asked myself.
I rubbed my eyes sighing my sweet spark was sound asleep on her berth, before I left the base. Ratchet told me that he felt like the war with Sentinel was just the beginning, and that worried me as Lily's face popped inside my processor. It made me want to be near her.
Also, I'd hoped there weren't more Decepticon sightings. They left earth, didn't they? "Optimus, I picked up on an Energon source." Ratchet had told me at the time. "What?" I asked, at the time thinking, not again. Another war? I was worried, Lily could be in danger. What did this mean? "I'm going to go check on Lily," Recalling my conversation with Ratchet hours before this current moment right now. I had to admit that I was tiresome. Ratchet knew how protective I am of Lily, and no one was preventing me from leaving unless they wanted to live, I drove over here as fast as I could thinking about Lily on the way.
I turned away from the window and walk over to my sleeping angel climbing in the bed beside her, wrapping my arms around her waist, stroking her natural wavy light brown hair.
What else do you they need for me to sacrifice?
I stopped tracing her upper shoulder just in time to hear hundreds of feet. The humans had no mercy; how many times have we saved them? And they still continue with trying to find ways to destroy us all. I cup Lily's cheek hopefully the familiar touch will wake her up. She stirs slightly before falling asleep again and she turns over. I heard a hundred stomps of organics coming up the stairs. I knew I had to get Lily far enough away from here where she could escape safely. The rush of my processors and little sparks of my spark were in overdrive as I picked up Lily, but something stopped me cold. The humans had busted through the front doors of Lily' apartment carrying guns and what looked like freeze agents. My lips form a thin line as the humans surround me, with their guns pointed at us, my spark picks up speed in my chassis. I was more worried about the humans killing Lily then myself.
A man with grey hair stepped up, and asked, "Are you Optimus Prime leader of the Autobots?"
"Why have you come?" I asked the man. This made the man laugh and almost made him drop his gun.
"I think you already know." He said in a venomous filled voice.
The shock took over my body. I couldn't think, couldn't feel. All I could do was stare at the man in shock.
"We helped you, humans... And this is the way you repay us?" I whispered.
Before the man ordered his men to shoot, I suddenly faded from view with Lily still in my arms. I looked around, confused about how I managed to do that, but the thought was cut short as I hopped into my alt-mode and com-linked Ratchet. I took off at top speed, never so desperate before, and never so afraid of what I might have entail if I didn't get away from this place as soon as possible.
"Autobots! Calling all Autobots! We're being hunted down by the humans! No Autobot is safe!" I sent to my comrades and Ratchet comes up through my com-link, immediately.
"Optimus, what has happened?"
"Ratchet! You must get out of D.C. as fast as you can! Tell the others! Quick! We're being hunted!"
