We run through the destroyed city looking for the highest building so we could get a clear shot at the control pillar.

The air blew steaming hot against my soot covered cheeks and I was aware of the bandage that Ratchet wrapped my head up with was unraveling. Just as we reached the 50 story building, a ear popping sound was heard from behind us. It was right on our asses, and it made us run faster.

"Come on! Let's go through here!" Sam commanded. We all follow him into a huge stain glass building, but I thought it was a foolish idea for us to go.

"It’s starting! We have to move faster!" I shouted. The anticipation of the battle started to render its ugly head.

We entered the yellow and white painted lobby of the 50 story building the people who worked in the building were scattered all across the lobby looking like freighted children not knowing what to make sense of; what was happening beyond those doors.

I shake my head at the people hiding behind the stone columns, those innocent people, I thought with sadness.

"Hurry, Lily!" Sam panted. He pushed me forward not wanting me to stray behind the group. I nodded listening to him. The last thing I need was to straggle behind the others. My heart pounds as we run up the stairs to the top floor of the highly unlikely safe building.

A sharp pain abruptly hits my heart at the thought of Optimus and the others being hurt, even though they could handle themselves. However, I couldn’t help but worry about them. We all sprint down the left hallway coming to a set of stairs. I couldn’t comprehending up from down at this exact moment.

Do these Decepticons ever quit?

I could hear explosions and the blood curdling screams of civilians outside of the walls. Sam pulls me down to the earth by pushing me forward.

I pant staggered to the steps. Holding onto my gun, I watched with hazel eyes. Hastily, more bombs go off. I couldn't make sense of our tribute to the fight and it made me question myself and I hated it, am I willingly giving up my life to save people who aren't even aware of my exists?

"Let’s go!" One of the men on Epps team yelled.

"This floor!" Epps panted, after we’d climbed about 45 stories, "I can almost see the pillar! Seven more flights!"

"Epps! Man you ain’t paying us enough for this!" Steven huffed. I didn't blame the guy for saying what he said. I would say the same thing myself.

"You will get your cut just! Relax!" Epps replied. Sam suddenly interrupted, "That's cool and all. But are we forgetting about infinite death?!"

"Sam’s right." Carly agreed. "Through here!" Epps suddenly blurted out. We hurried up entered the destroyed office pushing around the chairs and cherry wood tables in order to get to the broken set of windows. Crushing the shattered glass from underneath my black combat boots with a tight-lipped look on my face.

"What happens now Epps?" Eddie asked. Epps turned to face him and says, "Get the launcher ready." Then suddenly we all heard a deep rumbling the building started to sway a bit, and I shot Sam a look of worry.

"Shit! They found us!" Sam cried. Epps and his team drop their gear and ready their weapons as the Decepticon airship shot fire at the four floors below us. I’d to cover my ears at the butchering and the blood curdling screams of people from four floors below us as it traveled upward. And with the smoke flowing through the air didn't help me feel any better.
