GROVER'S POV

The world is a dangerous place. The Gods are everywhere. Mortals have no idea. A God asks you to do something for them. You do it. You don't disrespect them, you just do what they want. They threaten your best friend? You do what they want.

"So like, how do we get to the Underworld again?" Percy muttered. I realized I had the overall power on where we really went. Percy had been blind to the real world full of Gods. He was a noob if that term was hip with the kids.

"Hrm," I tapped my chin, "well first I have to actually leave the campgrounds," I teased him. He laughed nervously. From what I knew, he hasn't left the camp since... his mother left.

"O-Oh, good idea," he gulped. I felt bad, walking behind him I kicked back a few dandelions ignoring Percy's fidgets. He was so antsy.

What was wrong?

PERCY'S POV

Grover was a good friend. Even though I basically forced him to follow me around. I hope he doesn't give up on me. I couldn't stop thinking about my mom. She was in the Underworld, but was she dead? What did it even mean to be in the Underworld?

I was so lost, this whole thing was confusing. Now I was supposed to believe a GREEK GOD was my missing father, my mother was dead. Or in a supposed "Underworld". This was a lot. I could feel Grover's stare on the back of my neck. Was it getting hot out here?

Whatever. I just had to ask Grover where the Underworld was, get my mother, and go home. Easy. Right?
