Victor sat in his apartment that he shared with Yuri. The apartment was empty and although full of colour, was grey at the moment everywhere he looked, all be saw were the bland objects just sitting in the room with no memory nor meaning. He was in his living room that had an open floor plan that contained the kitchen and dining room. The Russian stared at the TV, unamused. Some show was playing that was based on the DC universe. It was Arrow. Though a pretty good show, it did not amuse Victor. Just kept him distracted from the real world.

He looked at the time and found that it was midnight. "You should probably go to sleep. I'm going to the rink tomorrow" he told himself. Looking back at his bedroom door Victor got a flashback of Yuri. Ultimately bringing tears to his eyes but not letting them pass.

He had to grow up and accept the fact that Yuri might never wake up. He had to learn that the real world can be a bitch and not everything is fun and luxury.

Victor had told himself when he was younger that he shall never live in such a way he did back then. He would always live at a higher status than most people meaning luxury or near to it.

Being abused by his parents and living in a dump made Victor grow up scared and malnourished. He never had high expectations of things since he was used to thing ending up bad but with Yuri it was a whole new story. He always had to make sure that boy was happy. After a few successes, he just expected things to work out, therefore he's heartbroken at the moment.

He turns his head to his bedroom to see Makkachin barking at something. He goes to check but he wasn't barking at anything, just the window. Victor gets flashbacks of that night, the night it all happened. The night that ruined it all. There was so much blood. So many stains. The once white tile in the bathroom had a tinge of red stained on it.

It's been two days since victor went to see Yuri. Yakov had told him he had to practice. Victor listened to his coach, hoping that skating would get his mind off of Yuri but it only brought more. He wasn't landing any of his jumps, missing steps. He wasn't focused and he couldn't until he knew that Yuri was okay and alive. Because he couldn't focus, Yakov had told victor to rest and try to clear his mind. "listen Vitya, you may be in hurting and regret but you are not leaving the rink until you land at lease two jumps." "Yes Yakov, sorry for not being able to focus. I'll try, I promise." "I know you will"

"When can I be discharged?" Yuri asked the nurse hoping for an answer that would please him. The answer he was looking for was 'today'. "You can be discharged tonight. Mister Nikiforov has left clothes for you, in case you woke up and he wasn't here. You can change into them before leaving and after we're done with all the tests." "Okay. Thank you for your help." Yuri returns to his bed and lies down trying to get some sleep even though he's been asleep for two weeks now.

*Victor's POV, back at the rink'

A few hours pass and it's getting dark outside. I'm still skating, somewhat calmer. I can land my jumps now but the step sequence is a bit sloppy. I don't know how Yuri does it. It's almost like he's a professional at this. Woah. A thing that Yuri is better at than me. He's also faster then me and has better stamina. A lot more stamina. To be honest it's amazing how long he lasts in bed.

Yakov keeps looking at me like I might just fall and break down into tears at any moment. Even I'm not sure if I will or not. That man may be mean and strict but he cares. He cares a lot.

*Yuris POV, at the hospital*

"Okay, thank you for everything. Good night." I walk out of the hospital, excited and nervous. Victor might get mad at me for not letting the hospital call him. Whatever. He can't stay mad at me. I'm so cute. I can feel the blood rush up to my cheeks as I think of myself being cute or any compliment in general.

Before I knew it, I was in front of my building. I never really noticed how old and worn out the building looked. The plaster was falling off a bit. The walls were wet and there was rotting on the door frames that lead in. The building it self is only about five to seven years old. It got damaged from all the bad weather these past years. Not to mention the recent flooding. This city does stay on the corner of the Baltic sea.

I swiftly walk in and my eyes are hit with an array of bright light ranging from cool to warm colours. Although this building may looked old and worn out, it's really marvelously elegant inside.

As I'm walking up to the elevators, I notice something round and golden on the floor. I go to pick it up and realize it's victors. It must have fallen off, either that or he dropped it. He couldn't have. Maybe he lost hope that I would wake up. I quickly rush into an elevator and press that last floor.

A few thirty seconds later I'm up on the thirty ninth floor. I walk over to the door and grab the keys that are hidden behind a fake plant. I unlock the door and Makkachin comes running and jumping up to me. She pushed me to the floor but Victor didn't come out. Maybe he's asleep. I walk inside and close the door. Turning on the lights, I notice how depressed victor has felt since I was out.

"Oh im so sorry." The living room is completely tidy and dusty. All pillows  organized and all TV remotes lined up perfectly on the coffee table. Soon I'm in the bedroom and there's no Victor but it's in exactly the same depressing state as the other room. I feel so bad for him.

Because he's not home, I just assume he's in the rink, practicing. I suddenly remember something and get an idea.
In less than a second I'm out again rushing to the flower shop to pick up some hydrangeas for victor as it symbolizes heartfelt emotion. He gave me a some around the first time I beat my own record. I didn't know it at the time but Victor was trying to tell me he lives me or that he was just really happy for me.

I now have the flowers in my possession and I'm back in the apartment. I set the beautiful flowers that were a wonderful shade of blue and white on a kitchen countertop that is just opposite the front door. Realizing that there is no note, I rush to find a pen and some card paper. I struggle to find the paper but I do. It is now around nine and Victor should be coming home now from practice unless he was planning on going to the hospital to see me. I quickly grab the flowers and go back down and head towards the ice rink. Just as I enter I see victor standing in the locker area.

I slowly walk towards him but Yakov notices me. "Fuck" I whisper to my self. I pull a finger to the center of my lips and shush him silently. He nods at me and I just proceed towards victor.
Tapping him on the center of his head, I see his shoulders tense up. Shit, I shouldn't have done that. "YURI!!"
