04; 'She' is never helping you up a fucking sand dune again

No Ones POV

"Teresa! stay together" Thomas shouted watching as the girl ran ahead- suddenly reminding him of the other girl in their company. He stopped and frantically looked around him- looking for the girl and finding her with a hand on Aris' back, helping guide him. She looked at him and even with their situation- smiled to which he slightly smiled back.

"Guys get in here!" Teresa shouted at them causing them to all stumble and slide down a pile of sand and inside.

The Asian boy whose name Carina still not know and herself pulled out their torches.

"Where the hell are we?" he asks no one in particular but Carina answers

"beats me- though I hope there's food"

He chuckled at her and turned to face her and trying to keep his eyes on her face only "I'm Minho" "Carina" she smiles at him.

"We gotta go" Thomas says.

"No Thomas stop! Tell me what's going on and who the hell is she?" Teresa demands

Carina scoffed "she is never fucking helping you up a sand dune again that's who she is"

"It's WICKED. It's WICKED. They lied to us. We never escaped. Me and Aris, we found bodies. Too many to count." Thomas says- ignoring the question about Carina

Carina looked at Aris realising that must have been when he found Rachel.

"What do you mean? Dead bodies?" Minho asks

"No, but they weren't alive either. They had them strung up. With tubes coming out of them. They were being drained. There's something inside of us that WICKED wants. Something in our blood. So we have to get as far away from them as possible." Thomas explains

"Okay, Okay. So, what's the plan? You do have a plan, right?" Newt questions

"Yeah. I don't know."

"Well, we followed you out here, Thomas... and now you're saying that you have no idea where we're going... or what we're doing." He says with slight anger.

Carina senses the panic in the atmosphere and decides to intervene.

"The mountains- Derek told us to head for the mountains" She says.

"who is Derek?" Thomas questions somewhat defensively and Carina ignores him- rolling her eyes

".Janson said something about people hiding in the mountains. Some kind of resistance or army." Aris agrees causing Carina to smile at him.

"The Right Arm" she says.

"If they're really against WICKED, maybe they can help us." Thomas says

"People. In the mountains. Mountain people. That's your plan?" Newts asks sarcastically

"It's the only chance we have" Carina tells him softly

"Hey, guys. Check this out. Minho, give me a light!" Winston says loudly from his spot on the ground a few metres away

"I'm Carina by the way" She says- looking at the two boys and Teresa

"I'm Newt and this is Frypan" He says and smiles at her along with Frypan however, Teresa rolls her eyes and walks off in a huff.

"How charming" Carina says under her breath and stalks off behind her.

Behind her Frypan and Newt letting their gazes fall to her long legs and her behind "If all women look like that then I want one" Frypan whispers to Newt who just coughs in realisation of his obvious checking out.
