07; Lights

No One's POV

It was almost painfully hot. Carina had wrapped a scarf around her head to that only her eyes could be seen and it covered her shoulders. she had removed her jacket- too hot to care about anyone gazing at her toned body in just a sports bra- so it was tied tightly around her waist. She looked to her left to see Minho emptying the last drop of his water and throwing his bottle away in frustration. she nudged his shoulder and offered him her bottle which was half full- she played that Winston's bottle was somewhat full so she could have that one instead. He looked at her questioningly to which she nodded- watching I'm take a few gulps and hand it back.

Night landed and Carina pretty much passed out when Minho announced they'd stop here for the night. Carina was slightly skeptical as they were right out in the open but tiredness got the best of her and after sip of water she was out.

She awoke to movement in front of her yet when she opened her eyes she was met with pitch black- startling her slightly until she realised it was only Thomas' chest.

"Tommy?" she groaned- her voice croaky because her throat was so dry. He didn't reply- only leant over her body and pointed her head in the direction of the mountains.

"Lights" She whispered.

Thomas jumped up and woke everyone up "Look! Guys wake up!" he said and everyone crowded around him to look at the lights in the base of the mountains.

Carina's head snapped back at a thundering noise.

"We made it" Thomas said blissfully.

"Not yet we haven't- we need to move" Carina instructs pointing out the strikes of lightening heading their way.

"Lets go guys" Thomas urges as everyone gathers their stuff and starts running.

"Fuck!! faster guys!" Carina shouts at them as they run past cars- lightening strikes hitting all around them.

She turns around to look at the huge swirling cloud above them

"Carina C'mon!" Thomas shouts and drops back next to her- placing his hand on her rucksack and pushing her forward as they ran together. Thomas dropped back again to push Teresa forward as Carina ran next to Minho

"We need to get inside!" She screamed

"Woah" She heard Minho say from next to her causing her to look up also. bad idea. A lightening blast hit Minho causing him to fly into the air along with Carina who was only a foot away from him in the first place.

Carina panicked as she looked around- hearing nothing but a loud ringing in her ears. It was deafening. she turned around to see Minho laying on the floor close-by, smoke rising from him.

"Minho!" she shouted even though she couldn't hear herself.

She got to him at the same time as Thomas who grabbed her face- shouting words she couldn't hear. Newt and Aris appeared behind them- pushing them both away and lifting Minho up- Aris grabbing Carina's hand and hauling her up beforehand.

"Thomas Lets go!" she shouted and grabbed his hand as they ran together behind the other three.

They helped steady Minho as Frypan hurried them inside.

"Minho wake up!" Thomas said as they huddled around him.

"C'mon man wake up"

"Minho?"

A groan erupted from Minho and Carina let out the breath she had been holding. "What happened?" he questioned in a daze

"You got struck by lightening" Thomas told him
