Deep within a forest a small village lay still in the night. Not a single soul was around. The silence of the night was broken by a pained scream, the sound of a women bringing a child into the world. Normally this would be a joyous occasion for the father, but not this time. The doctors had told them many times that the mother wouldn't live through this night. Even with the many warnings by various doctors that she was taken to, she still wanted to have her baby, for her husband.
They shared a bond like no other couple would even be close to sharing. They have been through many hard times as every couple has gone through in life. However, they made it through each passing day with the help of each other, nothing else.
Amidst the pained screaming in the dark of night, a flash appeared followed by a loud boom that anyone could hear. It was the sound of a lightning bolt striking. When the boom of thunder faded the pained screaming was no longer heard, instead, complete silence. Until a voice from inside a house where the screaming once was heard.
"It's a girl." A little baby girl who was wrapped in a black and yellow soft blanket was given to her mother. A lady with long black hair and silver eyes that had a hint of yellow in them held her baby girl for the first time. A smile spread across her face as she witnessed her daughter open her eyes for the very first time. They were light grey in color, with hints of yellow and purple in them, a very beautiful color. The women looked to her husband who had his attention to their newborn daughter. His eyes full of happiness at the sight of the baby girl. He then turned his attention back to his wife. Despite all the long hours she had been in pain she was still beautiful.
"What shall we name her?" The husband asked curiously. "I was thinking we could name her--" she was cut off by a high pitched scream coming from outside of their house. "What's going on?" The husband was now getting worried. "I'll go check it out." With that said he quickly ran outside. Oh please be safe my dear, please. The new mother waited for what seamed like hours but in reality it was only a few minutes before the door burst open. She saw what she feared most, her husband running over to her sweating, behind him was a fire roaring through the door, slowly burning their beloved home. "We need to get out now!" The husband yelled at his wife who was now holding their baby girl very close. She obediently stood up, no sooner had she done that the roof above them had burst into flames. "Take her and run! Get out of here! I'm too slow right now!" The wife quickly gave her husband their newborn baby girl. "I'll come back for you. I promise." Her husband said before running outside where he saw a very young boy no older than three years old standing there alone, staring at the burning home. The boys hair was dark brown, almost black, his eyes were a unique shade of a shiny silver color.
"Take your sister. If our house collapses and I'm not out, don't come back for me or your mother. Just run." He said while giving the boy his newborn sister. "Stay safe Silver, my son." He kissed his son on the forehead then his daughter before he ran back inside the burning home.
Silver, the young boy waited for his father and mother to come running out of the small house. However, the last thing he heard was the terrifying loud screams of his mother and father yelling each other's names for the last time.
"ShadowBolt!!!"
"ThunderBolt!!!"
The house collapsed on them, killing the two parents instantly. Silver did what he was told. As tears weld up in his eyes he took off in a sprint straight into the dark forest shaded by the black of night, only a bit of moonlight was there to guide his way through the dense forest.
Silver ran as fast as his legs could carry him, holding his new sister close, all while the thoughts of his parents dying were flooding through his mind and the frightening sounds of their final screams. He ran until his legs were numb, he ended up half way through the forest before he stopped by a lake.
The lake was large and the moonlight shone down on the water creating a shiny aura. Silver turned to see a cave by some tall trees, he thought about what animals might be in there but at this point, he didn't care. He slowly walked into the cave staying as quiet as possible. If there were any animals in the cave, he didn't want to be the one to wake them.
After entering the cave he stopped a few feet in. Silver was scared to go any further, the dark depths of the cave terrified him. He decided to sleep here for the night, so he sat down against the cave wall holding his sister close. He was exhausted from running so much that his eyes started to close. Silver tried his hardest to stay awake, but his efforts proved worthless as his eyelids closed. Sleep taking over his body.
He was now alone. No parents. No home. Nowhere to go. It was now just Silver and his newborn sister, with nothing but each other.
