The next day came very fast for Blaze. She was wanting to practice more with her powers, but she had to wait until Chris was with her. That was one of his rules, she wasn't allowed to use her powers without him around, until she learned to master them that is.
Blaze and Silver waited for Chris to come by their cave. Blaze was super excited to use her powers again, she had waited all night and all morning for Chris.
"When is he going to get here?!" Blaze asked excitedly. "Soon, now calm down. You've been asking me that same question all morning." Silver said with a sigh. They waited a few minutes longer before Blaze saw Chris walking over to them carrying a long and thick stick.
"You're here!!" Blaze jumped up and ran over to Chris. "I've been waiting all morning for you!" Chris smiled when he saw how excited Blaze was. "I see you have. Well then, let's get started." Chris walked over to a tree then he leaned the stick up against it.
"What is that huge stick for?" Silver asked as he walked over to Chris. "It's for Blaze to strike with her lightning. I want to see how strong she can get right now, and since this stick is really thick, it's the perfect thing for her to try and strike through." Silver nodded before speaking, "alright."
Silver and Chris walked over to Blaze who was already standing in front of the stick. "I'm ready!" Blaze smiled. "Ok, but stand a little further back this time, you shouldn't be super close to it. I want to see if your bolt of lightning can break the stick in half." Chris said then Blaze nodded. She turned and walked further away from the stick. "Stop there, you're far enough." Blaze heard Chris so she stopped walking then she turned towards the stick.
"Go ahead and strike the stick when you're ready, and remember, don't start a fire." Chris reminded Blaze. She nodded then she held her hand out towards the stick. A lightning bolt formed from the palm of her hand then it bolted forward and struck the stick. It broke in half and fell to the ground.
"Wow, you actually did it." Chris said sounding surprised. "I wonder how powerful her lightning can be." Silver said aloud. "I'm not sure, but I don't think we need to figure that out. We can't have anyone getting hurt from her lightning." Chris said as he walked over to the stick that was now broken in half. "I want to figure it out, I want to see how powerful she can be. You do realize with her powers we could have whatever we want." Chris turned towards Silver, his expression turned very serious. "Never ever say that again Silver, we will not misuse her powers for our own desires and greedy needs." Silver looked down. "I better not ever hear you say something like that again." Chris said firmly resulting in Silver only nodding a little.
The rest of the day went by quickly. Blaze had went through hours and hours of training with her powers. She had a very good handle on controlling her lightning.
When the sun started to set, Chris said his goodbyes to Silver and Blaze before heading home. "I guess we better go back home too." Silver said before walking off. Blaze followed him back to the cave where they decided to head to bed early.
Silver had quickly fallen asleep and Blaze was wide awake staring up at the ceiling lost in thought about her powers. She had so many questions that she wanted answered. Why do I have these powers? Why doesn't Silver have any? Did my parents have powers? Will Silver get lightning powers when he gets older? Blaze thought long and hard about these questions and so many more. Blazes eyes slowly closed resulting in her falling into a deep sleep.
