Blaze didn't go back to the store for two days after Silver had left. She couldn't stop thinking about what he said, and she couldn't get past how his feelings were all her fault. She was in the cave sitting down at the very back of it leaning against the wall thinking about Silver. She pulled her knees to her chest and looked down. "It's all my fault. I should have realized how he felt sooner, now he's gone because of me."

Blaze wanted to stay in the cave forever but she had to go tell Chris about what had happened. She sighed before standing up and walking out. Blaze went to the city and walked to the store where Chris worked at.

When Chris heard the door open he looked over to see Blaze walking in. "Blaze where have you been? Where's Silver?" Chris walked over to her. "I just haven't really wanted to come over here because something happened with Silver." Blaze looked down. "What happened? The last thing I knew was that you were going to talk to him about why he was acting off." Blaze nodded before letting out a sigh then she started to explain everything.

"When I went to talk with him, I asked him what was wrong and why he was acting the way he was but he cut me off and said he was done with everything. He said he was done working, done taking care of me and done living in a cave. He said it was my fault that he was acting like that. He's sick of my powers and how he can't talk to anyone about it. He ended up storming off in anger after he said he wasn't coming back." Blaze explained.

Chris bit his lip, unsure of what to say. "I don't know what to do Chris, I should have realized how he was feeling sooner." "It's not your fault he left Blaze, Silver is just probably jealous of your lightning powers. I'm sure he will come back eventually, he would have to. He has no food or shelter anywhere else." Blaze hesitated before nodding. "I guess that's true."

"Try not to think to much about it, I'm sure he will be back before you know it." Chris gave her a soft smile before walking off. He didn't know if Silver would actually come back though, he just wanted to keep Blazes hopes up.

Day after day Blaze waited for Silver to come back, but he never did. The days turned into weeks, and the weeks into months, but still, there was no sign of Silver. Blaze became hopeless of Silvers return, she eventually gave up on the idea that he was ever coming back.

Blaze was now working in the store full time with Chris, as soon as she got up in the mornings, she would get ready and head straight to the store. She would leave when Chris closed up the store at sunset. The dream that she shared with Silver of getting a house in the forest away from everything was no longer in reach.

Blaze and Chris just finished working at the store for the day so Chris grabbed his keys and turned off the lights then he locked the door. "I'll see you tomorrow Blaze, bright and early." Chris said. "Alright, I'll see you then." Before they went their separate ways Blaze gave Chris a hug. "Thank you for helping me through all of this." Chris smiled before returning the hug. "You're very welcome."

Blaze and Chris parted then turned and started to head off in their own directions. Before they were out of sight, Blaze turned and waved at Chris as she said with a smile, "Bye Chris!" Chris turned and he waved back smiling. "Goodbye Blaze!"

They both turned and went their separate ways. Blaze entered the forest alone, the only source of light was from the moon, and most of the moonlight was blocked by the thick leaves of the trees. Blaze looked up at the stars and she let out a sigh. "Well the stars are pretty." She looked back in front of her so she wouldn't end up walking into a tree, but when she did, she saw the silhouette of a person standing in the shadows made by the trees.

Blaze froze in her place unsure of what to do. She hesitated but nervously spoke to the silhouette. "Wh-who are you?" The person didn't answer, instead it walked out from the shadows and into the moonlight, revealing himself to be Silver. However, he had a very different aura about himself, something very unnerving. "S-Silver? Is that really you." He nodded. When he moved his head Blaze noticed his dark brown hair was now tipped in red and his eyes were red in color, with hints of orange in them.

"You've changed. What happened to you? Why did you decide to just come back now?" Blaze questioned him. "I came to warn you." Something seemed different about Silvers voice. It was a bit deeper and had a more sinister tone to it. "Warn me? About what?" Blaze asked. "Me." Silver lifted his hand and a flame formed above it. Blaze took a step back bewildered by what he had just done. "Oh you don't need to be scared. Not yet at least." Silver said with a grin.

"Y-you have powers?" Blaze said still confused and a bit scared

"Y-you have powers?" Blaze said still confused and a bit scared. "Yes, I have fire powers. Powerful and destructive to everything." "I don't understand. How? And why?" Blaze asked. "I was given an opportunity, a chance to change the world, a way to rid the world of the people that we don't need." Silver explained. "People that we don't need? What do you mean by that?" "You really do ask a lot of questions." Silver said. "Silver you need to tell m—" "My name is Flame!" Silver shouted at her before she could finish her sentence. "The name Silver no longer exists with me, it's Flame now, and it always will be. Remember that."

Blaze took a step back in fright, she wasn't sure what Silver would do at this point. "The world is dangerous Blaze, more then you will ever know." Blaze stood there in silence as Silver turned to leave. As he started to walk off he looked back over his shoulder at Blaze and spoke in his new sinister tone, "You better watch your back". Silver walked off and disappeared into the darkness of the night.

As soon as Silver was out of sight Blaze ran back to the cave as fast as she could. She arrived at the cave shortly and went straight to the back of it where she sat down and pulled her knees to her chest. She was scared, and still a bit confused after her encounter with Silver. Blaze was so scared that she didn't want to leave the cave at all that night, but she knew she had to tell Chris what happened with Silver first thing in the morning.
