Chapter 2

~~~
It was three A.M., I was sleeping peacefully until I heard knocking on my window. Half asleep, my eyes opened. Blurry vision, I could make out a red figure.
Red? What in the world?
Sluggishly, I got out of my comfy bed and plodded to the phased glass. Opening the window little by little the figure popped out from outside and got up in my face.
"Hey Alice." We were nose to nose.
Squinting my eyes, I finally knew who he was. "Elsword! What are you doing here?" Now I knew how Aisha felt. "Especially since it's three in the morning." I grummbled angrily.
"We came to pick you up." He beamed, not aware of my enraged stare.
"What do you mean 'pick me up' and what do you mean 'we'?" I asked still not fully awake.
"Raven and I-"
I cut him off. "Raven!" My ears perked up, having my full attention. I poked my head out of the window and I saw Raven standing in the middle of the yard, dazed. "Why, on earth, are you two here?" I tried not to scream out, twisting my head towards Elsword.
"Well," he averted his eyes from me. "we  thought you were lonely so . . . we wanted to bring you along on the trip."
"What do the girls think about this?" My arms folded across my chest.
"Well you see . . .umm . . " He said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Raven!" I called, soft enough not to wake the neighbors but loud enough for him to hear. Instantly, Raven shot his face upward. I gave him the get-over-here look and he came obediently. Jumping onto the window sill, almost causing Elsword to fall as he scooted over, palms gripping tightly to the sides of the house. Once he was at my eye level I questioned calmly, "Do the girls know you're here?"
"No." He said bluntly but truthfully.
I took a deep breath and turned my attention back to Elsword. "Why would you come and 'pick me up'?"
"The two of us thought that it was unfair that you couldn't get to see Chung. So we decided we could sneak you back with us and the  girls wouldn't be able to protest because they wouldn't want to be rude and send you back." Elsword finished sheepishly.
Wow that was a good plan, but still . . .
"Please, we really want you to be there." Raven spoke up, pleading for my approval.
I closed my eyes and thought it over. "No."
"What, come on! You can't be serious." Elsword exclaimed, wide eyed.
"I have told you my answer is no. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a date with sleep." Abruptly, I slammed the window on their faces.
Marching away, Raven said, his voice muffled, "Please. We came all this way for you. All we wanted was for you to see Chung."
I stopped dead in my tracks, hands placed on the bed covers about to unravel them off.
"Besides, you owe us for coming all the way out here," added Elsword as if he had the top advantage.
Pondering it over in my head, again, I turned around and opened the closed window. "First let me pack."
Grins replaced the boys' faces. "Dont worry we snuck in some clothes for you in our traveling bags." Elsword easily re-opened the window.
"Okay then let me just change my clothes." I said, feeling a bit akward of thinking about what they put in the bags.
