FINALLY, right?
I had to fight with my internet for eight minutes to get it to work so I could upload. Because, of course, it was just fine until RIGHT as I finished writing this chapter... stupid technology. Anyway, here is the much anticipated chapter! Enjoy! <3 XDee

“What is it exactly you need me to do?” Andrea asked.
Lisa continued to stare out the window, not answering. She had brought them to some hotel in the center of London. Andrea understood that she was to be used as some sort of bait, but the details hadn’t been described to her just yet. She sat on the couch, patiently waiting for the detective to elaborate.
Heath, as expected, was against this entire plan. He didn’t know what it was yet, but he didn’t like it. His wife was strong, but whoever they were going after was very likely stronger - and didn’t have a real child to worry about in their belly. As much as he wanted to help out Lisa and the others here in Europe catch these criminals, he didn’t want to have to put his new wife and unborn child in danger to do so. Surely there were other, much less dangerous ways they can go about this?
“We’ve tried everything we could think of. Nothing else appears to work as well as getting a helpless person to attract them. However, they’ve gotten smart, too. If you’re British they tend to stay away from you; too high of a risk. Could be police. They try to stay away from anyone who’s French or Italian, also, since they’ve been helping us out the most,” Lisa said. She continued to stare out the window.
“But, couldn’t we have me do it?” Heath asked.
“A tall, skinny, awkward white male visiting from the US is good,” Lisa admitted. She turned to face the couple, a smile on her lips. “But not as good as a young, expectant, newlywed mother.”
He sighed, knowing she was right. “What does she have to do?”
“We’re going to set up a post in that cafe across the street. Andrea will walk out of here with you, making a promise that you’d go into the store down the street and buy some sort of sweet she’s craving, or a tea to help with nausea.”
“She doesn’t have morning sickness. Why would I buy something we don’t need? They wouldn’t buy it if they fell for this whole idea and stayed with us for more than a few hours. Or even if they stay with us for a week, because we’ve somehow really convinced them but haven’t gotten them to admit anything yet, or if something goes wrong and they hold us captive-” Heath interjected.
“If they hold us captive I’m sure the last thing they’re gonna worry about is that you bought me something for morning sickness when I don’t have it,” Andrea said.
“What if-“
Lisa rolled her eyes. “It doesn’t matter what you buy, just purchase something!”
“Sorry about that Lisa. Please, go on,” Andrea said. She put her hand on her husband’s knee to soothe him. She told Lisa she’d do this, so they were going to do it. Each knew they had a chance of complication with the baby even this far into the pregnancy. Heath didn’t feel the need to raise the chances, however.
