UPDATE! YAAAAAY!!! <3 XDee
---------------------------------------------------------
Eddie entered the FBI building in D.C., refreshed from a night in his and Brittany’s now-shared apartment. Parker was smiling at a small strip of paper from the desk across from his own.
“What’s that?” he asked.
“What?”
“That paper in your hand. What is it? I’ve never seen you smile at something you had to read other than a… that isn’t a number, is it?”
Parker grinned. “A Ms. Detective Antonia R. Swank, given immediately after the capture of Louis and his friends four days ago. Let’s just say she was extremely impressed by my ability to realize they never had any intention of actually bombing anyone, and were instead making meth in their house within seconds of being in the house. I fly down for our date next Thursday.”
“You’re hopeless,” Eddie laughed. “But you know that if Supervisor Moore’s flight hadn’t been delayed and she had come with us down to Florida that would have never happened.”
“Not in a million years,” Parker agreed. He watched his friend carefully as he settled into his desk. “How are things with Britt?”
“Good. Great, actually. We moved in to my place last night. Never had such amazing sleep as I did last night,” he grinned.
“Never thought of you as the kind to settle down,” Valerie said upon entering.
“Well then, m’lady, you don’t know Edward Gray at all, do you?” he smirked.
“You’re still a cheating dog on the inside,” Victoria yawned across the room.
“Not all guys are like that!” he defended.
“Where’s your hubby?” Parker teased.
She shrugged. “I dunno. Getting coffee, I assume.”
“You know what they say about ‘assuming’…”
“Shut up!”
“You-“
“Room - now!” Simone interrupted.
Rather than stopping, she walked right past them and into the meeting room. This case was particularly disturbing. She almost didn’t choose it because of what was going on, but she knew it was going to be up to them to solve it. They needed to end this man’s massacre as soon as possible. Even if it meant she had to pick up a gun herself.
“What’s her problem?” Eddie asked, nodding towards Simone. They stood as a group just outside the door.
“I don’t know.”
“I’ll bet this is a case involving either a rapist or kidnapping children,” Valerie offered. They exchanged looks; Simone was usually the calm one on cases. But if they involved rape or children, she became worse than a mother finding out her only daughter has been kidnapped, beaten, impregnated, and ultimately killed by the only man she ever loved and trusted.
“I think it’s my turn to watch over her, right?” Parker asked.
“Sounds about right,” Victoria shrugged. They glanced at her once more; she was pacing in front of the flat screen TV that showed information on each case. Her nails were being torn apart nervously by her unforgiving teeth. To say she was upset by this was an understatement.
“What’s everyone standing outside for? Let’s go in!” Mitch smiled from the back of the group. He held seven coffee’s in his hand, one for each agent. Victoria grabbed his hand before Mitch could enter.
