See? I told you I would get another chapter up sooner than the last. I would've had it a few days sooner, but my internet hasn't been connected yet (lame, right?). I made this chapter a little longer than all the others will be, in an attempt to make up for making you wait. Also, if there are any mistakes, please let me know. most of this was written between midnight and three am, so sorry for any mistakes! Enjoy! <3 XDee

“Did you find out where any of the other bombs are, yet, kid?” Parker asked. He sat in the passenger’s seat, looking though his binoculars inside the church, while Eddie examined his hair in the rear-view mirror of the deputy’s cruiser.

The deputy chuckled over the walkie. “How’s your hair, beautiful?”

“What? That doesn’t make sense.”

“Hm. That’s weird,” Eddie said, staring at his phone. There wasn’t any signal.

“What?” Parker asked, hitting his walkie-talkie. There’s no way their shy deputy could have said that about his hair. The kid was too awkward to have that amount of confidence in his voice. He was barely inside the church, even, so it couldn’t possibly be someone in the congregation.

“Weren’t we supposed to meet up with the team again about now?” Eddie asked.

Parker shrugged. “I dunno. Who cares? Hey, kid? Can you hear me? I asked about the bombs-“

“Hope your gel does well in extreme heat.”

Parker and Eddie exchanged confused looks. Then it hit them; the bomb was in the car. Their car! It was a trick! He was in on the plan the whole time! They jumped out and ran off as far as they could before it detonated. The explosion was great, nearly taking out another cruiser ten feet away with it.

“That little bastard!”

“He was with the cult the whole time?!?”

They exchanged more confused looks. A group of passerby’s ran up to the two agents to see if they were okay. Eddie shooed them away, his game face on.

“Things are about to get serious, Mr. Stone.”

His partner smirked. “Oh hell yes. I love a good battle with stupid kids.”

“Call Vaughn. I’ll need Victoria here.”

“Ab-so-lutely!”

Simone stared at her phone, disappointed that they hadn’t managed to get a hold of Parker nor Eddie. Reports of an explosion near the church gave them even more reason to worry. The moment they heard, every last one of them jumped in a police cruiser and headed over immediately. As much as they complain about those two, they were family. You don’t mess with family.

“Do you think they’re all right?” she asked.

Vaughn smirked in the front seat. “This is Eddie and Parker we’re talking about, Simone. I’m sure they managed to sneak out just in time, with enough scars to leave a mark so some hot chick they can pick up next week can ask about and hear their ‘epic’ tale.”

Simone chuckled. “You’re right.”

“What did Mitch say they were doing, again?” Victoria asked.

“They’re going to find the bomb at the school.”

“Mitch is going there?!?”

“Why, yes.” Vaughn turned around to face her. “He did say he wanted some field time. This is what we do in the field. Do you have a problem with that?”
