Hey guys! Welcome to the Korean Lesson Book!
Let's start with vocabulary:
~ Vocabulary ~
저는 - I have ( formal )
나는 - I have ( informal)~ Adjectives ~
큰 - big~ Verb Endings ~
입니다 - someone/ something is ( can also be used as ' am ' in ' I am '.
있습니다 - used when someone or something has ( something ) like ' she has a dog' or ' I have a book'.* For informal and formal I will mostly be using the informal*
* Though these seem like simple instructions, sometimes what English simplifies, Korean complicates, and vise versa. So if you were to say 'I am a dog' it would be translated '나 개 요' because a verb is unnecessary. When saying 'I am big' you would Translate '나는 큰'.
I know this is confusing but you will understand in the next lesson.*Subjects, the Subject of a Verb, and Verbs in a sentence:
In ' 나는 개가 있습니다' ( translated ' I have a dog.' ) , ' 나는' is the subject,
개가 is the subject of the verb, and
'있습니다' is the verb.Exercises:
