It's been a month since the incident and I haven't let (y/n) from my side too much. She surprisingly seems perfectly okay with that. She has physically healed, no more bleeding from her eyes, headaches, or nausea. She has calmed down much more, but she seems to be in a state of melancholy and grief, though trying to keep her spirits at a more moderate level. She's in her mind dazed or she'll give a sad sigh every now and then. She'll be quieter and not really interested in whatever is taking place. If anything I think she actually prefers my presence next to her. At night and during the day, though Beyla is more the night shift whole both shifts are almost constantly monitored by Hiemdall at his post. I actually managed for her to go speak with him, but the entire conversation was flat. Her mind was elsewhere. Hiemdall was very happy to see and speak with her, but he did show disappointment at her lack of luster and enthusiasm that she naturally possessed. After sitting with the news of our friends passing and there tragic situations, I felt it necessary to know, but very unwanted. They are still our family and we would like to know, but we are here now and done meddling in the state of Midguard. I, however, still blame Loki for my sister's misery. He brought physical pain to her body and psychological scarring to her mind. She had, in the beginning, gone temporarily blind for a little over a day. I think (y/n) Now realizes that Loki isn't to be played or toiled with. He will harm you and show no remorse. I had, unfortunately, noticed his constantly distant presence. He always seemed to be nearby, watching, but at a distance. He clearly still has some sort of attachment to my sister, but shows no intention in coming over. Very good. That's how it should be and that's how it shall remain. Even Thor, after hearing about the situation, has advised him to keep away from her. He too was looking out for (y/n). It didn't stop him from coming and being friendly with her. He showed kindness, but you could never seem to get by without him making a little jest towards her mortality. He certainly finds it humorous or keeps him from believing that (y/n)'s mortality doesn't make her unintelligent or incapable of understanding him. Life span does not effect the brain. (Y/n) doesn't seem to care anymore of his comments. She has grown use to them and realizes he knows no better. This was something many Asguardians shared due to lack of understanding. Mortals were and are beneath us, therefore less capable, right? No. Being amongst them, I have found myself impressed by their capability and intelligence. I only wish the others could see the worth of the mortals, especially my prince. I only hope he will become king one day with this realization. Odin has grasped this idea. I certainly hope that Odin is also wise enough to see Loki is not fit to be king in the slightest. I know I see it. I know Hiemdall sees it. I believe (y/n) sees it as well.
I look to my sister sitting beside me on her knees in the grass, her back straight, eyes closed, and her hands draped calmly in her lap as she takes steady breaths. We sit atop a hill looking over Asguard, the sun near setting. She was at peace, for the moment.
"(Y/n)..." I say. She hums. "Are you tired?"
"No." She opens her eyes looking straight ahead in the distance.
"Would you like to go back to the castle? It's getting night out. I don't want you catching ill."
She's quiet as if thinking it over before nodding. "Alright." She stands. I follow her movements and put out my arm for her to hold. She gives a barely visible smile before gently taking my arms. We begin heading back to the castle. People don't seem to mind her presence anymore, so they don't even pay a second thought as we pass by walking through the town. I notice she hasn't bothered wearing shoes ever since the incident. Everywhere she went it had been her bare feet.
I look at her feet walk across the hard ground. Dirt and dust stuck to her toes and her heals. A small pebble always seemed to miss her feet as she walked along.
"Does your feet hurt? You haven't been wearing any shoes lately." I ask her.
"A bit."
"Why won't you wear shoes?"
"So I won't go away again. It makes me feel more grounded." She says looking at her feet and wiggling her toes a bit.
I nod. That's how she's been describing her experience. As "going away". We walked up the front steps of the castle. Loki had been leaning against one of the pillars her the entrance reading from that cursed spell book of his. (Y/n) stopped dead in her tracks, her grip tightening on my arm. She frightened of him now. I know for certain she won't be going near Loki again. She can't even walk passed him to the entrance. I par her head and hold her close to me wrapping my arms around her. Her gaze was locked wide open on Loki. He glanced up from his book. He stares at (y/n) with an odd look. Was it a look of pity? Sorry? Worry? Guilt? All of it? I glare at him and gently lead (y/n) along passed him with difficulty. Her gaze wouldn't leave Loki and she was tripping her own feet.
"Okay. It's Okay. Come on." I tell her softly as I drag her along. Once we are far enough away she takes off running.
"Hey,(y/n)! Wait!" I tell after her and quickly follow her down the corridors. I saw Loki take a few steps forward with a worried expression, but I quickly shoot him a glare and he stays in place. I run after (y/n) following her quick patters. She was fast. I see her retreating form. Just when I was about to catch up she does a sharp turn into her room slamming the door behind her locking it. I come to a walk and stop. I gently knock onto her door.
"Go away! Go away! Go away!" She was screaming through the door. I put my hands up in surrender and back away from the door. She needs space. I take a deep breath through my nose. I glare at the floor. "I think it's about time Loki and I have that talk."Hello, everyone! I hope you are well. I've been extremely tired, but here I am. Here's another chapter. Enjoy and I'll see you in the next chapter! Toodles!
