Epilogue | part 1

I can't believe we're finally graduating.. Theses 2 years... has been amazing. Throughout this experience, i met good ass friends and i met the best fiancé. We are going to get married after graduation.  I been waiting for this day for longest. I can't believe that day is really really near and I'm really happy. Speaking of my fiancé, look at him, walking across the stage, getting his diploma, that he worked so hard for. Theses past years has been a hell of a ride for me and the rest of my friends. They all had work so hard for it and I'm proud of all of them. But i been thinking about the future because i don't know if Devontae and I are going to the same collage but we will figure out. The college I'm going to is Harvard and i can't wait to go.. Speaking about the future... let's go back to the past. Like prom...

Days Before Prom..

I can't believe that every since what happen in freshman year made me and Devontae love each other, trust, and care about each other even more then ever. He made theses years AMAZING. Took me out to dates; I remember a really funny one...

(gave me gifts, met BOTH of my parents)

Date 37:

Devontae calls me early in the morning at 6 AM . I was so tired and why would he call me at this time? I didn't understand. Once i answered, he told me to wake up and get ready. I said for what but he said just get ready @ 8 but don't wear flats, wear sneakers. I was curious because i love wear flats so i decided to find my Jordan 11s that i never really wear, only for special events like my birthday ( of course ) etc but i guess I'll wear it for this. I take a shower and brush my teeth. I go back in my room and see the clothes that i laid out on the bed. A black T-shirt , my necklace , ripped jeans , my socks , and underwear. On the floor was my shoes. I look at the time and i see that it was already 7! I hurried to my clothes on with my necklace that Devontae got for me on my last birthday and i look in the mirror to do my hair. While i was doing my hair, i look at phone to put music on. I started dancing around, being dumb but i was happy. That moment i knew, my journey was far from beginning.

A few minutes later..

I hear the doorbell ring. My "Dad" ( Missed saying that) answered the door. I ran down stairs and to say goodbye to both of my parents. I saw my dad and mom talking to Devontae and they started to act weird but it was normal. "Be Safe Hunny And Have Fun!" "Love you!" "Love you too! Bye!" I started walking and there he was. My boyfriend. He smiled at me and i smiled back. I kept walking and then went in to hug him. "What were you talking to my parents about?" "Nothing important." He grab my head to guide me to his car. "Where are we going, Devontae?" "It's a surprise. He told me to put a blindfold on and to hold his hand. I did what i was told. There road we were on, was really bumpy. I was thinking about what he asked my parents but I'll just let it go. A few minutes later, we stop. He helped me out and kept walking me. He said that i can take to blindfold off and what i saw was amazing. He brought me to the fair! He knew that i never been to one and wanted to go to one so bad. He gave me that chance. I ran to him and jumped on him to hug him. "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!" "Anything for you, J." He started to laugh when i ran inside the fair. We did so many things. Got prizes, rode the ferries wheel, got food, etc. We went back in the car and i was hugging my teddy that Devontae won for me. "You love that teddy don't you?" He started to laugh and smile. "I love it but i love you more." I kiss him and more.

He then drove me to school. I was confused on why. I asked but he wouldn't answer. He just smiled. He went to park the car. He then went to open my door and pull me out. "Where are we going?" While running. "You'll see!" I was laughing and then he said," I hope you like it." I looked and it was the cutest thing ever. He put a little picnic in the middle of the football field, with candles and music. I kissed him on the cheek and said that it was perfect. We both walked to it and sat down, this was really the best date ever! He said to stand up and look up. I did and say fireworks go off. This was amazing. They made my name and that was so cute. I turn around and what i saw, i started to cry. I couldn't believe my eyes. "Jasmine Vanessa Love, You have made me the happiest man on this whole entire man. I love you so much that there's not enough words to express how much i love you. Your generous, kind, sweet, fun, caring, funny and so much more. You make my day brighter. My life has been amazing with you in it and i want you in it forever. So, Jasmine Vanessa Love, will you do me the honor to become my wife?" I started to cry even more. This was all that i dreamed off. I hugged him and said "YESSS YESSS I WILL!" I started to laugh then i moved back and let him put the ring on me. He put the ring on infront of the promise ring. The ring was so beautiful. I kissed him then hugged him again. "Was this what you were talking to my parents for?" "Had to get permission to propose to you and marry you." I started to smile and kiss him. "Your amazing, you know that." "I know." I punched him in the shoulder and I ran, laughing. "Oh it's on." He ran after me and it was amazing. Everything that day was amazing and i will never forget that day.

Present For Prom..

I'm still trying to put this dress on for prom. My mom came and helped me. "You look so beautiful." "Thank you mom." I hugged her. "Thank you for everything, mom. I'm glad to have a mom like you." "Of Course sweetheart and thank you. You better hurry up before you fiancé comes." She winked then left. My "fiancé". I like it. I went to fix my hair and make up and heard my mom yelling my name. I grabbed everything and started walking. While i was walking, Devontae looked up and couldn't believe his eyes. I started laughing. My mom and dad was recording everything, of course. Devontae putting the flower on me, me walking to him, then taking our pictures, and us walking out. "BE SAFE! LOVE YOU!" "LOVE YOU TOO!" Then we went to prom and had the best time and night of our life.

Present For Right Now..

Me, walking the stage. I was so excited. My dreams were coming true and I'm so grateful. I was dancing when they called my name and yelled," I DID IT!" I was so proud and i saw my parents clapping real loud for me. Even Devontae was clapping really hard to. After the graduation, i was looking for Devontae and i saw him. I ran to him and i hugged him. "Congratulations J. I'm really proud of you." "Same to you." "Look who came to see you." I look and i saw Christelle. I was so lost on why she came that i started to move back. "Wait! Jasmine! Don't leave!" " I thought you were still in prison or jail or whatever!" "I was but i was released." "Okay, cool. Whatever. Bye." "Jasmine! I want to apologize!" I stopped walking. A lot of people were staring at us but i didn't care. "I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for the pain i brought you, I'm sorry for trying to destroy you and I'm sorry for not being your best friend." She starts to cry and i felt it. I felt what she's going through now. "The promise we made each other when we were freshman, i should of listened to it but i didn't and I'm really really sorry." I turned and hugged her. "It's ok. We're ok." Then she hugged me back. "You remember when i wanted a true love story when we met?" "Yeah, you wanted a prince and all." "Well , now. My true love story  may ended in high school but not in the future. It has just began." I grouped hug everyone and we were laughing. That was the happiest time in my life and I will forever cherish when I grow up.
