"Y/n!" He yelled at me. "Y/n, come back you shank! It's too dangerous!"

I ignored his warnings and began running from him. I could hear quickly footsteps behind me and I was about to run faster, but a hand grabbed around my wrist and pulled me back. I landed on the hard ground lookin up at Newt who had anger in his eyes.

"Leave me the shuck alone!" I yelled at him and stood up. "You can't tell me what to do or not to do."

"Hell yes I can. Alby is an idiot thinking you'll come back safe from the maze."

I looked angrily at Newt trying to walk past him, but he moved just as fast as I did and blocked my way. I looked backwards and saw some of the other boys came running. The made a circle around Newt and I. Probably trying to hear some drama, but I didn't wanna make a scene.

"Get out of my way shank," I said and all the boys went "oohhh!"

They all looked at newt waiting for his response. He opened his mouth

"It's a dumb idea, you'll get killed as soon as you put your foot in the maze! Please listen to me, don't go in there."

"I shucking hate you, just get out of
My way," I stepped forward and suddenly felt a push on my cheat making me fall backwards. Did Newt just push me to the ground? Oh it was on! I was about to stand up and do the same, but the boys were all over him already.

"What the hell man!" all the boys shouted in their mouths making loud noises. I saw Newt getting pushed away by some boys. Minho looked at me and nodded in direction of the maze. I nodded too. We began running towards the maze, I looked behind my shoulder and saw Newt getting pulled in a tent where Alby probably was. I felt a little bad for him, but I quickly forgot it when I entered the maze with Minho.

                      THOMAS POV

I tried fighting the guys, but they were too many and I let them drag me to the tent where Alby was. He looked at me and shook his head as if he knew what happened.

"Newt.." he started. "All this trouble just because y/n became a runner. You know she's clever, fast and very good at solving problems, she won't get hurt in the maze, so why stop her-"

"I don't shucking care!" I raised my voice and tore me away from the boys who still held me. "Just because she's clever and stuff, doesn't mean she's strong physical. She wouldn't be able to defeat a griever and you know that!"

"That's why Minho is with her."

"Minho's just as bad. He wouldn't be able to do that either."

Alby sighed and looked tired at me.

"Just wait and see, she'll be all right, now you got out with the other boys and do your part, and that's an order."

I looked angry at Alby but at the end I gave up. I walked outside with the boys and did my job as they did. But I couldn't stop thinking about y/n.. she was out there some place. Helpless.. and I couldn't do anything about it.

We all stood at the entrance to the maze, shaking. It was almost time for it to close. We heard the awful sound of metal rubbing against metal and we knew the entrance was about to close.

"Where are they?" Chuck said with a worried voice. "They should've been here by now.."

No one responded but suddenly we all jumped in relief when we saw y/n and Minho around the corner.. but something was wrong.. Minho was having one of his arms around her neck. He was jumping on one food. She was trying all she could to hold him and herself up, but she struggled.
Suddenly some of the boys started clapping and cheered at them, making me do the same. At the end we all screamed and shouted at them to hurry the fuck up. The port moved and my heartbeat started to beat harder and faster.

"Come on!" I screamed. "You can do it!"

She ran as fast as she could, still with Minho's arm around her neck. The port was almost shut. That was it. I ran as fast as I could through the small crack. Some of the boys tried to held me back, but it was too late. I ran over to her and took Minho.

"Run!" I yelled at her. "RUN YOU SHUCK FACE!"

"But newt.. You-"

"I said run!"

She looked surprised at me and began running. She made it through the crack, she joined the boys, cheering clapping and shouting.

"Come on!" She shouted as loud as she could. "You can make it though!"

I looked at Minho who was half asleep. We could do it, but the pressure got hard and I saw myself throwing Minho at the exit and landed in the gladers arms, laying him on the ground and wait for me.. but it was too late.

"NO!" I could her y/n scream before the port closed and I was all alone in the big maze. Still on my knees I felt the tears falling down my cheeks. I saved Minho, but forgot to save myself. And now I was all alone, without anyone or anything. And y/n.. she was probably about to lose her mind right now. And the last conversation we had was a fight. I would never be able to tell her, that I love her... never..

                           Y/N POV

"NO!" I shouted as the port shut and Newt disappeared. This couldn't be true.. no no no.. this wasn't true.. I closed my eyes trying to keep the noise out from the other boys who helped Minho getting to the medical tent. I screamed out of nowhere making chuck hug me tight, I hugged back, squeezing him so hard while sobbing on his shoulder.

"This.. this can't be!" I cried loud. "No!"

"I'm so sorry, y/n," Chuck said. "He was a good glader, and friend.."

I pulled away throwing myself at the ground, screaming, sobbing and felt my heart sink.

"NO!" I cried. "This can't be happening!"

Chuck looked down at me, he stood there for a couple of minutes without leaving me, even though I made him feel uncomfortable not knowing what he should do. Sometimes he patted my shoulder or rubbed my back telling me it was gonna be alright. I stood up, looking dead in his eyes and opened my mouth.

"He has to be alive," I said quite.

"Y/n, you know there's no way he's gonna survive-"

"He is!" I interrupted. "I know he is. And I'll find him and bring him home. I know I will.."

"Y/n.."

"I won't let him die! Especially not after that fight we had in the glade. I can't let that happen.."

"So what are you gonna do?" He asked me.

"I'm gonna climb up those walls.. tonight while everyone is asleep."

Chuck looked at me, and I gave him a dead stare. I wasn't kidding. I was gonna do it. And I'll do it.. tonight.

"I'm coming Newt," I whispered and looked at the maze walls. "Just stay alive a little longer.."
