I'm getting tired of this normal daily life. I want something to happen. Like, aliens coming down from the sky and greet us, or maybe that Santa Claus is real? I sighed again a little louder to let my boyfriend, Thomas, know there was something wrong. He didn't notice and didn't even remove his eyes from the book he was reading. I sighed once again and it became a big groan. He chuckled and looked at me.

"Is something wrong babe?"

"I thought you'd never ask!" I said and jumped up from the couch. "Aren't you tired of this life?"

He furrowed his eyebrows and looked confused at me.

"I'm living with you, why would I be tired of that?"

"That's not what I'm talking about, Thomas. I'm just saying, that we're young and we should be out there experience things we haven't seen yet. And here we are, sitting on a couch, eating Cheetos and reading books, while watching stupid news."

He laughed and put his book on the table.

"What are you saying? That we should rent a boat right now and sail out in the blue?" He smirked.

"Noooo!" I moaned irritated. "I'm just a little irritated, that nothing is happening."

"You know what?" He suddenly asked when I reached out for another Cheeto. "We're going out, right now."

"Now?!" I asked panicked. "I'm not dressed properly to go to a restaurant or-"

"We aren't going to a restaurant," he said while laughing slightly. "We're just going out, come on. Get the car keys and we're gone."

"Wait.. are you serious?" I asked with a big smile formed on my lips.

"Why would I lie?"

He winked and then walked off to get some things to the car ride. I walked into the hallway and grabbed the car keys.

It was 18:45 pm and we didn't know exactly where we were. Thomas had accidentally turned left, when he should've turned right, and now we were in a town where everything seemed so different from where we came from.

"Do you think we drove all the way from [insert your home town/country] to another state?!" I yelled hysterically as we drove by some drunk people. "I WILL NEVER LET YOU DRIVE AGAIN!"

"Babe Relax! It's probably not that bad. We'll ask someone for help and then we're off.."

Two hours went by and I was starting to get hungry. My stomach wouldn't stop making sounds and ever time it did, Thomas couldn't stop but laugh.

"I need to eat something like right now Thomas."

"I thought we were gonna find someone to ask for he-"

"NOW!"

"Damn, Relax Babe. We'll find a restaurant, I think I saw a sign not far away from here.."

We drove a little further until we came to a cute restaurant with candles all over the place. We walked in Where a waiter led us over to a table and gave us the menu. I ordered a large burger and fries and Thomas ordered a pizza.

When our food arrived, we asked for help to one of the waiters. She said she didn't knew the town we were from, but if we didn't make it home until late, there was a motel not far away from here. We thanked her and she walked away.

"I should've never said anything in the first place.." I said as I put a handful of fries into my mouth and chewed it. "I'm also such an idiot for letting you drive without a gps.."

"Shut up would you?" He said with a big grin. "This is exciting, don't you think? Two lovers, lost in another town where they know no one or know anything!"

I rolled my eyes at him with a smile. Typical him. Always trying to find the positive in a shitty situation.

"Anyway. I think it's too late to start trying to find home, so maybe we should just try to find that motel the waiter talked about," I said.

"Are you sure? I know how scared you sometimes get when you can't hug your special pillow if you get nightmares," he smirked teasingly.

"SHE'S NOT A SPECIAL PILLOW!" I yelled.

"Oh, it's a She," he laughed.

"I hate you."

"I love you too."

We almost killed each other, and a deer, in the car because we had been driving for twenty minute straight, fighting about which direction we should take, without finding a motel. Finally we saw some light in the distance. We parked in the big parking lot and walked into the room where a man stood behind a disk. I guess it was a lobby. We walked over to him and he greeted us.

"What can I help you two with?" He said smiling.

"Do you have a time for two?" Thomas asked.

"Couple or siblings?" He asked and looked at us.

"Couples."

"You're lucky, there's only one room left with a double bed. It's room 163. Here you go."

He gave us a key and we thanked him and payed for one night. We walked up the many stairs until we finally arrived at our doorway. Thomas locked up and we walked in to see the big bed standing there, waiting for us to jump on it.

"Oh my lord.." I sighed and let myself falling into the bed sheets. "I've been waiting for this for soooo long."

Thomas chuckled as he took off his shoes and placed them next to the night stand. It only took us five minutes to get comfortable in the bed and we turned on the little tv that was standing at the end of the bed. I cuddled in next to Thomas and he embraced me with his muscular arms.

"Y/n?" He whispered.

"Yes?"

"There's something I've always wanted to do.."

I looked up and saw his wet puppy eyes.

"What is it?"

"I-it's kinda embarrassing to talk about it.."

"Just say it," I smirked and leaned in so our noses almost touched. "You know you can tell me everything."

He sighed and cupped my cheeks.

"I've always wanted to do it in a motel.."

"Do it?" I asked confused.

"Yeah.."

I thought about it for a while when I finally realized what he was talking about.

"OHH!" I said surprised and laughed nervously. "But Thomas.. you know how tired I am. And look at the clock it's-"

"I know, I know, sorry," he said embarrassed with all red cheeks. "Night babe."

He turned around and I bit my bottom lip. It's not like I didn't want to. I was just so tired. I sighed and crawled over to him and wrapped my arm around his big shoulder.

"Thomas.." I whispered until he turned around and faced me again.

"Yeah?"

"Tomorrow we can," I smirked.

"But, aren't we home tomorrow?"

"Who says that? This is a new town, we could maybe go for a walk and get to know this town before heading home," I said with a smile. "A Little exciting adventure for us."

"But it's Monday tomorrow," he grinned.

"Who gives a shit," I laughed. "But what do you say?" I smiled at him and saw how his eyes filled with happiness and joy.

"I love you y/n,"

"I love you too, Thomas."

"But Yeah, lets take a day or two off," he said with a big grin on his face. "Come over here."

He stretched his arms and I crawled into him so I could hear his heartbeat. His hot chest filled me with warmth and his breath gave me goosebumps in a good way.

This was the best car drive.. ever.
