I gaze at myself in the mirror, feeling a bit uncertain about facing Shawn in these clothes. I wore white skinny jeans that shows off my legs and butt with a light blue belly shirt thing, but a white tank top underneath it.

“Oh wow,” Lily says with a smile. Silver stood back at her piece of work with a huge smirk.

“Shawn is going to absolutely die,” She giggles as she walks around me, tucking and pulling on different clothing items I wore. “This is going to be fun.”

I nodded as a car horn startles us. Lily peeks outside the window,

“Dennis is here. Let’s go!”

I nod and we all jump inside his car before leaving.

Shawn’s Point of View

I stood against the wall of the theater, waiting for the rest of the guys to show up. I guess I shouldn’t have left so early, I am just excited to see Melody.

“Tonight’s going to be fun,” Patrick reminds me, “She’ll want to sit beside you. I just know it.”

I shrugged as Shane, Alex, and Jeremy walk over to us. They wonder where Dennis and the girls are at, but are told not here yet.

I sigh and look at the ground; I got my hopes up for nothing! Melody probably thinks this is lame, going to the movies for an activity with friends. I just wanted to see her so much!

“Maybe they’ll show up later?” Shane wonders, looking over at me. “Don’t worry about it man,”

I shrug as we all bought tickets and snacks before walking into the correct theater. I sit at the end of our row, leaving two seats next to me. Now I am going to try and enjoy this movie with my buds, I don’t need some girl bringing my mood down.

The movie begins, and I notice Shane stand up to go answer his phone. I attempt to ignore his gestures toward me, avoiding any excitement to build up.

“Shawn!” He whispers, pulling on my arm. “Come with me!”

I groan and stand up to follow him outside. Sometime during then I manage to ask, “Where?”

“We have to go get Silver and Melody. Dennis and Lily ditched them at a store to go do whatever.” He shrugs at me, leading the way to my car. I nodded and turn around to enter the driver’s side.

“Which store are they at?” I ask as I turn the car on.

“Umm, the 7-Eleven around the corner I think.”

I nod and drove there, asking Shane more questions about Melody. He mentioned that he has a class with her as well.

“Wait, so someone sent her flowers?” I asked with a hint of bitterness jealousy. I didn’t want her to develop a crush on some other guy!

“Well, she found them in her locker, before school started.” He explains, probably noticing the suspiciousness in my voice. “But the person didn’t leave their name.”

That seems to ease my mood as I pull into the 7-Eleven. I park in front of the store and flash my lights. A minute later two girls emerged and were sitting in my backseat.

I turn to smile at Melody and notice her appearance. She had curled her hair and applied light make up. The clothes she decided to wear fitted her body perfectly, showing just the right amount of curves. I felt the need to reach out and touch her soft, red hair but ignore it quickly.

“You looking g-great.” I stutter as I make eye contact with Melody. I mentally yell at myself and she smiles brightly at me, a blush forming on her cheeks. “Oh thanks Shawn.”
