When I woke up, Patrick had his arm swung over my body loosely. I looked around the room and noticed that we were not in the living room anymore. I slipped out from under his arm and quietly left the room. When I went downstairs, Pete and Andy are both awake. Which is odd, for Pete. I ignored the two and went into the kitchen. Joe stood there, holding a coffee looking very tired. "Oh you're finally up! Is Pat up?" I shook my head and looked at the clock. "I have an hour before my appointment. Joe go wake Patrick. I'm gonna take a shower." I walked down the stairs to my room, shutting the door quietly behind me.
I grabbed the bag full of piercings and stuck a few in their right places. I stuck my snakebites into my jacket pocket and zipped it. "Ty! We need to leave!" I ran upstairs and met up with two of the four boys. "Pete and I are taking you. Let's go." I winced slightly and followed behind Pete out the door. My stomach rumbled with fear and anxiety. I sat in the back of the car and stared at the window, mumbling the words to the music playing through my ear buds. It took about 20 minutes to get to the orthodontist and my stomach is doing backflips. I hated getting the braces for the first time.
"Mrs. Wentz!" I stood up, shaking off the icy cold chill I felt when my name was cold. I followed the nurse into the back and I wondered if this would be my last seconds left. "Ty relax. She's not going to murder you." I sighed and laid down on the bed, she took off my glasses and handed them to Patrick. Pete took a seat by the window, staring at the passing cars. The doctor came in shortly and he smiled at me. "Nice to see you again Mrs. Wentz." I nodded and grimaced as he came closer to me. "Your teeth seem to be responding to the braces well. I'd say another year or so and you should be good. I'm going to take off the wire and replace it. You also need new brackets. What color would you want?" "Black and blue please." He nodded and left the room silently. I looked up at Patrick and he smiled in reassurance. "He's not going to kill you." I knew he meant the doctor, but I couldn't help but wonder if he also meant Pete. "I know. I'm just...I'm just nervous ya know?" He took my hand and squeezed.
I walked of the orthodontist and stretched my mouth. I winced in discomfort and put my hand to my mouth. "The doctor said only soft foods and cold drinks." "Can we go get some slushies?" Pete shook his head and Patrick nodded. "Pete come on. We're only going to be here for a few more days." He rolled his eyes. "Fine. But you're paying." Patrick shrugged and led me to the car. I stayed silent throughout the trip, trying to not piss off Pete any more. When we arrived home, I ran into my room. I didn't want anyone see me upset, Pete is bugging me more and more everyday. He just acts like he doesn't care, but I know he cares deep, deep down. Plus he scares me, but you already knew that. I stopped pacing the room and I sat down on my bed. I couldn't decide if I should call the boys or just leave them. If I call them, we could practice for our upcoming gig. If I don't call them, I will end up crying.
"TY THE BOYS ARE HERE TO GET YOU!" I ran upstairs, bag bouncing on my back. "Hey beautiful." I hugged everyone, holding onto Jake longer. I waved at Patrick and left the house. "Is everything okay?" "No, Pete has been really getting to me. I just miss my father ya know? The caring and loving one." AJ set his hand on my knee and smiled at me. "If he doesn't come around after tour, Max and I will fuck him up." I giggled quietly and leaned against Jake. He wrapped an arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer to him. "I love that you guys like each other and all, but why not date?"
