Skipping to when FOB gets home, school has started again and it's nearing Valentine's day.
"Ty behind you." I turned, and stopped in my tracks. "No hugs?" The lunchroom which is normally loud, got really quiet, everyone must've been staring at the exchange. I ran forward, crashing into the person at the front of the group. "I missed you guys so much." The person chuckled and wrapped his arms around me. "When did you get back?" "About 15 minutes ago, Patrick wanted to come see you right away." "Oh don't try pinning this all on me, you wanted to see her just as much." Pete laughed and punched the slightly taller male in the shoulder. "Am I missing something? You guys seem closer." I gave Patrick a look and he winked at me. "We'll talk about it when we get home, we signed you out by the way." I nodded. "I'm going to go grab my things and let Jake know that I'm leaving." I walked away and back to the table I was sitting at. I grabbed my bag and pulled Jake out of his seat. "I'll see you tonight, remember 7:30 is when you need to pick me up. Love you." I pressed my lips to his in a quick kiss. "Love you too, vocal rest until tonight. Don't forget." I waved at the other two band members and walked back to the family.

"Why are you going through your clothes?" "I have a gig tonight." I heard a noise of protest from Pete. "Babe, you have to let her go. You know how it was with Liz. She won't be out late, 2 at the most. Right Tyler?" "Babe? Oh and yeah." Pete's face turned bright red. "That's what I'm missing. Congrats you two. Pat you mind braiding my hair?" The male shook his head and grabbed the hairbrush off the counter in my bathroom. "Where is the gig at?" "The small teen night club downtown. I think we're the last band playing. Oh and can Jake crash here? His mom won't let him in the house after midnight." I remembered last Friday when we got home at 12:45, his mom locked us out and refused to unlock the door. "Sure, no funny business." "Yes sir!" I saluted the males, making them double over in laughter. "You've become more outgoing since we last saw you. How's everything going?" I know what they're asking about and I grimaced. "The depression has dialed back a bit since I started the band. Jake has helped with my anxiety and social anxiety. The guys make sure I'm constantly happy and comfortable with everything." I saw Pete smile out of the corner of my eye. "I knew you starting this band was a great idea. You've come a long way." I grinned at them.

"Be home no later than 2:45. No drinking, smoking, and keep the touching to a minimum. I don't want to be a grandpa at 34." Max snickered and I hit his arm. "Let's go, we can't be late again. Love you guys! See you later." I kissed the group on the cheek and left the house, dragging Jake behind me. "So did you get the okay for me staying over?" I nodded, intertwining our fingers. "No funny business." The couple in the back burst into small fits of laughter. "Hey! I don't think Pete or I want him to walk in on us getting down and dirty." That caused Jake to start laughing, I joined in after a few seconds. "What're you guys doing for Valentine's Day?" I looked at Jake, then at my hands. "I still have to ask Pete or Pat if I can stay his house, other than that it's up to him what we're doing."
