"Ty I thought you were going to Josh's." "I am, I need stuff for tomorrow and school." Patrick just nodded and let me pass through the front door. When I walked in, Pete stared at me blankly while his girlfriend is attached to his lips. "I swear he's going to end up getting a blow job on that couch." "He already has." "Fucking nasty." I walked down to my room and grabbed a duffle bag. "Your room is sick." "Yeah. I did it a few months back with Oliver." I winced slightly when I mentioned his name, it still hurts. I didn't say anything else, just focused on packing. "Why do you have so much piercing jewelry?" I turned and flicked the piercings on my body. "I have snake bites, a nose ring, my ears, and my belly button." AJ made a noise saying 'oh.' "I didn't even notice you having them in." I shrugged and packed the jewelry I wear and I zipped up the duffle bag. "Do you need your sketchbook and laptop?" I nodded and pointed to my backpack. Max stuck them in it and zipped it back up. I grabbed a few hoodies, beanies, and snapbacks. "We're good to go." I walked back out of the room, looking at Patrick as I went passed. "You'll be back before the week is over." "I don't see why I can't stay here. He never acknowledges my existence when he's like this." "He's been more violent. I don't want you around him." I nodded curtly and walked out the front door, ignoring the small moans coming from the bitch that changed my father.

"Hey guys, how was school?" I shrugged, not in a good mood from being at home. "I'm going to go to bed." "It's barely 6." I shrugged again and made my way up to the guest room. I set my things down and fell back on the bed, feeling more exhausted then I've ever felt. I felt myself slip into a dreamlike state.

"Ty, wake up." I jolted from my sleep, panting heavily and tears streaking down my face. I felt some put their hand on my shoulder and I jumped, crying out as if I had been touched with fire. "Ty, it's okay." I felt more tears fall from my eyes. I fell backwards off the bed and onto the floor, my breathing getting heavier and more labored. "Max, go get Josh and someone call Patrick." I squeezed my eyes shut and buried my face into my knees. I heard footsteps approach me and I let out a cry of fear. "What's wrong with her?" "I don't know AJ, were you able to get a hold of Patrick?" "No, but Max is trying again." I tried to block out the voices and focus on my breathing. "Guys, Patrick said that she may be having a waking dream episode. You have to give her some space and let her figure out that this is reality." My breathing slowed a bit and I felt my lungs burning from the hyperventilating I was doing. "Her breathing evened out." I slowly opened my eyes and jumped at the proximity of everyone. "Ty, are you okay?" I slowly nodded my head, afraid that anymore movement would make my head hurt more. "Give her some space. Ty what happened?" I shook my head and stood up slowly, trying to not make myself dizzy. "AJ can you go get her some water." Now that I think about it, I felt a warm liquid in my mouth, tasted like zinc and smelled like rust. "Ty, take it easy, you bit your tongue."

I stepped away from the small crowd of people, feeling like I was being suffocated. "Here you go." I drank the water quickly and I felt slightly more awake. "What are waking dreams?" "It's a rare sleeping condition that can cause you to not know the difference between dreams and reality. Sometimes it can be peaceful, others nightmarish." Max looked sad and the others just had pitiful looks on their faces. "What time is it?" "About 4 in the morning." "I'm going to go shower and get ready for school. I have to call Patrick to make sure he knows I'm fine."
