"Ty!" I looked up at the voice, jumping a little. Patrick pulled me into a hug. "Someone is happy." "We finally got Pete the leave the whore." Patrick had been wanting me to come home for over a week now. Each time I had gotten icy glares from Pete and a smirk from his whore girlfriend. All they did was fuck on the couch and it was quite annoying. "Woot woot. Can I go now?" "Why are you so unenthusiastic?" "Her leaving isn't going to change anything. Pete hates me and it doesn't change the fact that he did slap me. I told you I would try to act like it didn't happen, but I still have nightmares. Can I please go now?" He sighed in defeat and gestured for me to leave. "I love you Pat and I appreciate all you do for me, but maybe Pete wasn't meant to be my dad. And....and that's okay." I walked away from the living room and trotted down to my room. I was startled to see Pete and Andy sitting on the floor. "Um....hey?" Both men looked up, Andy's eyes pitiful and Pete's glaring. "Do you want me to leave? I can see if Josh will be okay with me staying over. Maybe even Tony." "Ty you need to fix this." I knew what Andy meant. "Andy trust me, if I could I would. He doesn't want me to fix it. As an adult he should've tried to fix it. I'm not going to be the adult in this. I'll pack...I'll pack a bag for a few nights. I know you guys want me out of your hair for awhile and Max is itching to plan our band practices."
"Ty that's not what I want you to do at all. You have to talk to him." I heard a low sigh and I fixed my gaze to Pete. He had gotten off the floor and was now standing really close to me. I took an involuntary step sideways and shuddered. I guess I hadn't really shaken off the fear. "Andy I love
the whole peace and love thing,
but he..he scares me." I stepped away from Pete another time and set my bag on my bed. "You aren't going to stay with Josh or Tony tonight or this weekend. I want you to stay home and if you aren't going to fix it yourself, at least let us help." "If he wants to fix whatever is left then by all means go ahead! I'm not going to sit around and hope that this is going to be salvageable when I know it is 99% unsalvageable." Andy's face softened and he put a hand on my shoulder. "We love you, you know that right?" "Of course. I love you guys too. I know that I haven't been very nice at times and I can be a bitch a lot, but I do really love you guys." His lips upturned into a small smile and he lead Pete upstairs."Are you serious?" "100 hundred percent baby." "No shit serious?" "Do you think I'm lying?" I chuckled and leaned agaisnt my headboard. "Jake you are a fucking life saver oh my god!" "I know it. What do you say? Can you be out by midnight?" "Of course. Be at my house with your truck and I'll be there." "Great! Max and AJ are one hundred percent on board with this." I smiled, my cheeks hurting from the amount of smiling I was doing. "TY!" "I got to go. I'll see you tonight." I hung up and bounded up the stairs. "Who were you talking to?" "Jake. Why?" "Just curious. Dinner's ready." I sat down at the table, my stomach fluttering with anticipation. "What're you planning on doing tonight?" "Watching TV. Going to bed by 11." "Alright. The guys and I are going to be in bed by 9, we have an interview tomorrow." I looked at Patrick for a second before my eyes flickered to the man who created me. "How's your grades?" I stared at Patrick in alarm. Those were the first words Pete has spoken to me in like a month. "Good. All A's." He nodded and shoveled more food in his mouth. "Got a boyfriend?" "N-No. I'm in a band though. With AJ, Max and Jake, a good friend of mine." His eyes moved up to mine and he rose an eyebrow.
"Pete that's enough. You're scaring her." He moved his eyes from mine to Patrick's. "Just making friendly conversation." I pushed away from the table, suddenly feeling sick. "I'm going to go lie down." I ran from the room, making it downstairs in record time. I shut and locked my door, placing a hand to my cheek. I felt bile rise from my stomach and into my throat. I ran to the bathroom and threw up all my stomach's contents into the water. My hands shakingly flushed the toilet and tears streamed down my face. I moved toward the sink, turning on the water to wash my mouth out. I felt slightly better but still anxious.
Midnight had come quicker than I expected. I pulled on some shoes and grabbed my phone. I taped a note on my door and quietly made my way upstairs. No one was on the first floor and I heard a slight purr of an engine outside. Jake made it. I crossed the room swiftly and quietly. I unlocked the front door and stepped out into the slight breeze. I closed the door and locked it once again. I ran across the yard and threw open the door to Jake's truck. "Ty! Glad you could make it!" I smiled at my friends and Jake pressed down on the gas, propelling us down the street. "Who's ready for an awesome night?"
