"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works." James 2:17-18 (KJV)
The above passage of the Bible shows the importance of having both faith and works, because without the two working together all our efforts and sweats would be in vain. There are people who work throughout their lifetimes but has little to show for their efforts just like Simon Peter who work throughout the day in order to catch some fish and he was unable to catch any fish until Jesus came and activated his faith before he could catch any fish.
And there are some people also who has faith and wish for good things such as job, scholarship, financial helps and so on, but they are not ready to work towards these wishes of theirs, expecting God to do some abracadabra for them. Fortunately, God doesn't reward laziness.
Some people believe that their successes are based on how diligent they've worked neglecting the fact that FAITH is also working behind the scene of their works. If you don't have faith in what you are doing now, there's no way you will embark on it.
Some people channel their faith towards useless things as fraudulent activities such as frauds, gambling, prostitution, arm robbery, etc, expecting God to bless them. God only honours the desire (faith) of those who are ready to work diligently towards their aspirations and goals in life.
Don't be like that lazy man who was wishing to be rich overnight, but refused to work in order to be rich, and I'm very certain he will dwell in poverty if doesn't change.
Don't neglect your faith and don't refuse to work.
Start doing something no matter how little it may be to you. Keep working hard and keep believing God on His promises concerning your life. Don't give up and don't relent. Keep pressing on!!!
