The government will always be the reflection of the society. It is individuals in the society that make up the government. We as people need to change for better if we want to have a government that will work to make things better in the country.
Corruption did not start when an individual is in the government, it actually started when he/she was in the society among his/her people.
I remembered when I was serving in the north, the school where I was volunteering for as an assistant teacher, during their JSCE (Junior Secondary Certificate Examination), the teachers were writing out theory answers for the students to copy.
I was so upset when I saw that. I believe such kind of thing is happening everywhere in the country not only in the north. How can you tell such students the importance of being diligent and honest when the teachers are encouraging them to be lazy and dishonest???
It is no surprising that people are now buying their ways to get good grades, to get jobs, to get promotions, to be elected into government offices and so on. These started when they were young. And these make the diligent and honest ones to look useless.
Our society has been so corrupted, and that's why we will continue to elect corrupt people into the government to lead us because we are not as people to be free from this evil called corruption. We as citizens of this nation need to start changing individually and collectively.
And I mean for good. The change needs to start with me and you, it is not about youths occupying government offices, but having a change in attitudes, characters, views and so on about living in a society that is devoid of corruption from the youngest to the oldest.
This is not going to take 5 or 10 years to achieve a corruption-free mindsets because it is a process, and we have to start from somewhere. So, we need to deal with ourselves as people first before we can now focus on the kind of government we want in our country.

Diligence, honesty, obedience and so on need to be encouraged and rewarded right from the youngest child to the oldest one in the family and also in the schools. Our children, both young and old need to be taught and shown the importance of having a corruption-free nation.
We need to start acting right instead of just talking and lamenting. Let's stop focusing on the political parties and let's start focusing on the individuals from those parties. If we are ready to change to change positively, then we can have a good government that will reflect the kind of people we are.
I've been guilty of judging this present government not knowing that the fault of this present and past governments lies with everyone of us both the living and the dead. No need of blame game, let's address our problems as a nation.
