The picture above rightly depicts the title of my write-up this morning. Kindly sit back and read this little epistle of mine that is in four parts.

I recently read a story about the act of kindness of an homeless to a lady when her car ran out of gas and she was left stranded in the middle of nowhere. This homeless used the last $20 with him to buy gas for the lady's car and she was so surprised and happy that she decided to create a Go-Fund-Me account for the homeless man, within days the account has generated more than $200k for this homeless man. When he was told (because I watched the video) about it he was joyfully embarrassed and wowed, he never expected it.
Here is a man who has no roof over his head and also begging on the street to survive, but that didn't stop him from helping another person with the little money he has. His unfavourable living condition did not stop him from showing to another person. Personally, I was touched by this man heart of kindness, because if your heart is right you will act right.
Most of us are blessed with money, good health, food, house, job and family, but yet we still have something to complain about to God and we can't even appreciate Him for the little He has given us even though they are not little to me. We can't help people with what God has given us and yet we still complain and murmur a lot. I want to tell you that being poor or rich is not about your physical assets but about the state of your heart of mind/heart. There are poor people around us and yet they are happy, pleased and satisfied with what they have while there are so many rich people that have poor state of heart or mind.
It is very good to have money, but if you don't have a heart that is filled with contentment, then you are as poor as a church mouse.
It is quite saddening that we don't encourage people to crave and pursue contentment in our churches and in the society.

The homeless man gave his last $20 to someone in need without thinking of getting reward from this lady. Some of us would rather help someone who can reward us back with what we've done for them than help someone who can't give us a dime when we help him or her.
And before I forget what this man did to me is actually a step of faith, just imagine what might have been going on in his mind, when he saw a car stopped in the middle of nowhere without anyone to offer help for the lady except him. He might have been planning on how he's going to spend the $20 to buy some food and warm clothes, and then something prompted him to use the money to buy gas for the lady's car. I'm quite sure there must have been some battles of supremacy in his thoughts on whether to surrender his last $20 or not. Thankfully he surrendered and bought gas for the lady's car. And God who is not a liar rewarded his act of kindness in multiple folds.

The lesson I personally learned from this man was that I should not wait to be rich before I can extend help to people either financially, spiritually, psychologically, emotionally and so on

The lesson I personally learned from this man was that I should not wait to be rich before I can extend help to people either financially, spiritually, psychologically, emotionally and so on. I don't have to be rich like Dangote or Bill Gates before I can make positive and credible impacts in the lives of the people around me. All I want is to be satisfied with what I have whether it is much or little I don't really care. I just want to have a heart that shows kindness irrespective of any situation I might be faced with whether it is good or bad.
I hope you've learned from this write-up of mine and I pray that God enlightens you the more about it.
Thanks for reading!
